Police Briefs for August 23

The following information was compiled from “pass along” reports courtesy of the administration of the East Ridge Police Department.

August 21 – Day Shift

22-011739- 3519 Pinellas Lane- Alarm-

Police responded to check the residence. On scene the house appeared secure. 

22-011741- 500 blk of Frawley Road- Unknown Trouble-

The caller advised they could hear a woman screaming in the area. On scene police checked the surrounding neighborhood but did not locate a screaming woman.

22-011742- 3628 Cline Road- Barking Dog-

The caller advised the dog at this address has been barking for an hour. On scene police checked for the dog at the residence. No barking dog was located.

22-011743- 900 blk of Altamaha Street- Unknown 911-

Dispatch received a phase two 911 call from an unknown location in the 900 block. On scene police checked the area with nothing located.

22-011744- 1410 Mack Smith Road- Disorder-

The complainant stated he and his son were in their room when there was a knock at the door.  Complainant stated a man he did not know walked into his room, uninvited, and stated he was looking for a phone charger. Complainant stated he told this person to leave and he did.  The man was described as short stature, gauges in each ear, wearing a t-shirt.  Complainant stated he also observed a handgun tucked into this person’s waist band. The area was checked. No one matching the description provided was located.

22-011745- 326 Tanager Circle- Disorder-

The caller advised he hears his neighbors fighting. On scene police spoke to a cleaning crew cleaning the apartment.

August 21 – Night Shift

6105 Ringgold Road / Disorder: 

Officers responded to the Popeyes on Ringgold Road after a customer and employees were involved in a disorder where threats were made. On scene police spoke with both parties and dispersed all parties present on scene. The customer was advised to file a complaint with corporate for any ongoing issues.

1410 Mack Smith Rd/ disorder (22-011759): 

Police met with the caller in reference to her 13-year-old daughter being harassed.

1410 Mack Smith Rd/ lost property (22-011768): 

Police spoke with the caller who stated her child may have lost his phone.
