Police Briefs for Feb. 11

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department and compiled from “pass along reports” furnished daily by the administration.

Feb. 9 Day Shift

5421 Ringgold Road (burglary):

The Full Gospel Chattanooga Church was broken into last Sunday night by a black male who stole musical instruments, a computer and a mixing board. The suspect cut off several locks and pried open a back door to gain entry to the building. Video of the suspect was recorded on the church security system. (21-001807)

4214 Ringgold Road (warrant service):

Justin Lee Oliver was arrested at the Hamilton County Jail on an East Ridge PTR for DUI. (21-001817)

4011 Ringgold Road (arrest):

Jeffrey Hudgins was arrested on a cocaine charge following a traffic stop at this location. (21-001814)

532 Meadowlark Trail (auto burglary):

The complainant reported finding her car had been burglarized overnight on February 2nd. Her car had been rummaged through, and a leather bag containing jewelry was stolen. The empty bag was later located near the wood line of the victim’s property. (21-001802)

6500 block Ringgold Road (arrest):

Richard Lebron Hairston was arrested for driving on revoked and taken to the Hamilton County Jail. Hairston is a repeat offender. (21-001813)

1416 S. Moore Road (open door):

A neighbor noticed an open door on this property which has been unoccupied for four years. Police observed evidence of homeless people having been in the property. Codes Enforcement was contacted. (21-001797)

 Night Shift

700 S Germantown Rd (Animal Problem 21-001827):

The reporting party stated there were chickens roaming Germantown Road and they were afraid the birds would be struck by cars. Police observed no chickens in the roadway.

183 I24 West (DUI 21-001836):

Cody Brooks was taken into custody for DUI during a traffic stop.

601 Walnut St (Warrant Arrest 21-001839):

Celeste Johnson was served an East Ridge arrest warrant at the Hamilton County Jail.

1503 McDonald Rd (Stolen Tag 21-001840):

Officers recovered a stolen vehicle tag off a vehicle at the Waverly.

4222 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-001841):

While speaking with a party at the Speedway officers observed a meth pipe in the vehicle. Troy Godwin was taken into custody for possession of schedule II and possession of drug paraphernalia.
