Police Briefs for Feb. 12

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along” reports provided by the administration.

Day Shift

4401 Ringgold Road (fraud):

Mack’s Highway Market reported four separate cases of fraudulent checks being passed at the store between 09/25/2019 and 01/30/20. Four different reports were made, and check information was entered into Property and Evidence.

4214 Ringgold Road (found property):

An unknown white male approached the PD and dropped off a small purse he says he found on East Ridge Avenue. Police unsuccessfully attempted to locate a phone number associated with a DL found in the purse. The purse and contents were placed into Property and Evidence.

5300 Weaver Street (arrest):

Cody Edgeman was arrested for possession of marijuana for resale following a traffic stop at this location.

915 S. Seminole Drive (vandalism):

The property manager, stated Shateria Parker and an unknown male broke out the lock of a post office box located at the apartment complex.

1123 McBrienRoad Side A and B (vandalism):

The landlord of this residence called to report multiple bullet holes found in the structure. The tenant stated on 2/6/20 around 2230 hours someone shot up the residence. He further stated he left during the incident, but his girlfriend stayed to call police. Dispatch indicated the matter was not reported prior to today. The girlfriend is currently at work and will call the police when she gets home. She stated she believes the shooting is a result of an argument her child got into at school. Police located approximately nine bullet holes in the exterior walls.

Night Shift

**Camp Jordan Parkway is still closed to thru traffic due to standing water on the roadway.  Springvale road is open for regular traffic. **

3700 Ringgold Rd (Traffic Stop):

Vilma Vicente-Ordonez was issued a misdemeanor citation for Driving on a Suspended License following a traffic stop for a light law violation. 

3900 Ringgold Rd (DUI):

Haven Burnette was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop at this location.

800 Fountain Ave (mis citation):

Antonio Edwards was issued a misdemeanor citation for simple possession of marijuana following a traffic stop.
