The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”
Feb. 3 Day Shift
1200 block John Ross Road (theft): Complainant reported the theft of her .22 cal Heritage Barkeep revolver and two checks from her bedroom sometime between 01/29-01/31/2021. The complainant reported she was out of town during that time, however, her roommate’s son and girlfriend came to visit the roommate during that time. The complainant also provided a text conversation of the person she suspects of the theft was contacting people and attempting to sell a .22 cal gun and a check. The firearm was entered into NCIC. 21-001477
3407 Myra Avenue (domestic assault):
Rodney Ballard was arrested once again for assaulting his mother. Ballard was transported to the Hamilton County Jail. 21-001480
4348 Ringgold Road (criminal trespass):
The general manager of Sonic, requested police criminally trespass a former employee and his grandmother. The former employee became hostile toward the GM which prompted the call to police. 21-001484
4214 Ringgold Road (warrant service):
Soddy Daisy PD located Patrick Holder who was wanted for three outstanding East Ridge warrants. Holder was taken into custody and transported to the county jail. 21-001485
5301 Ringgold Road (fraud):
The complainant reported the loss of his Visa card. An unknown suspect had started using it and charged over $700 to the card before the bank was able to suspend the card. 21-001490

Night Shift
1500 block Rebecca Ln (Domestic Disorder 21-001498):
Police arrived and located a female with obvious signs of physical assault on her body. The suspect left prior to police arrival.
6712 Ringgold Rd (Unwanted Person 21-001501):
Office staff at Public Storage requested that an unwanted party be removed from the front of their office. He was stealing power and arguing with the employee.
3715 Ringgold Rd (Food City)/ Narcotics violation (21-001505):
Police arrested Laurel Conner for Criminal impersonation, public intoxication, and possession of heroin. Following a complaint of her passed out behind the wheel of a red sedan.
1401 Reeves Ave (Shots Fired 21-001509):
Police responded to reports of gunshots in the area. The area was checked but nothing was located.
6513 Ringgold Rd (Unwanted Party 21-001514):
Waffle House employees requested police remove a party who appeared to be in a mental health crisis. The party was one of our resident homeless population who is well known to police. It was determined he was not a threat to himself or anyone else. Staff agreed to let him stay in the business as long as he did not interrupt other customers.
5317 Oakdale Ave (Noise Complaint 21-001515):
Officers responded to reports of a loud party at this address. The parties have been warned multiple times about noise prior to this incident. The resident was issued a citation.
700 S Germantown Rd (Reckless 21-001518):
East Ridge Police received a BOLO for a silver Honda van that fled THP at a high rate of speed and refused to stop. THP chased the van from Marion County into Chattanooga and then lost sight of the vehicle. The van was observed by ERPD traveling in a reckless manner and a high rate of speed in the 700 block of South Germantown Rd. The vehicle eventually crashed on Cloud Springs Rd. Darrius Higgins is facing numerous charges in both states to include Felony Evading and DUI. He also had multiple Hamilton County warrants.
