Police Briefs for Jan. 23

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift January 22: Bravo Squad

25-000786 – 1300 BLK West End Ave – Theft – The caller reported homeless individuals rummaging through his dumpster and taking wood from his construction site, possibly for fires. No suspects were identified as they fled when approached. The business requested patrols to deter trespassing.

25-000789 – 500 BLK Wando Dr – Domestic Violence – A man and woman argued over childcare. During the altercation, the woman accidentally struck their child with a phone. No arrests were made and the parties agreed to separate. Witnesses corroborated accounts.

25-000798 – East Ridge Ave & Ringgold Rd – Pedestrian Struck – ERPD responded to a car vs. pedestrian incident. The pedestrian was ambulatory and declined EMS.

25-000804 – Spring Creek & Wellworth Ave – Narcotics Arrest – A silver Jeep stopped for a window tint violation. A search revealed fentanyl intended for resale and drug paraphernalia. The suspect was arrested.

Night Shift January 22: Delta Squad

25-000817 – 3700 BLK Fountain Avenue – Harassment – A party contacted the police requesting advice regarding her drunk boyfriend after fleeing the couple’s apartment with her child. Police suggested she remain away until her boyfriend was sober.

25-000821/25-000827 – 6100 BLK Ringgold RD – Burglar alarm – In two separate incidents, police were dispatched for an office door motion alarm. The building was secure. Since January 19 there have been five calls for the same alarm and the alarm company cannot reach a responsible.

25-000825 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant service – A party was served an East Ridge warrant for theft under $1000 while at the Hamilton County Jail.

25-000828 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant service – A man was served an East Ridge warrant for Alias Capias (Driving on revoked, suspended, or canceled) while at the Hamilton County Jail.
