Police Briefs for July 22

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along” reports.

July 19 Day Shift

No number assigned- 6408 Ringgold Road- Suspicious Activity-

The caller advised a white male with a neon green beard flung an unknown substance at the building. On scene the male had already left the area. he was not located.

22-010236- 4145 Ringgold Road- Apartment Fire-

Police were dispatched with ERFD on an apartment fire. On scene police assisted with evacuation.

Night Shift

3725 Fountain Ave #58 / Unknown Trouble:

Police responded to an unknown trouble at the Summit Apartments after a female was heard by dispatch screaming “help me” multiple times. Upon arriving officers could hear an active struggle in the apartment and observed the apartment door to be kicked in. Police attempted to knock and announce at which time officers heard multiple parties screaming. Police kicked the door multiple times and observed a male subject attempting to barricade the door with a couch. Officers were able to make entry and detain two males. It was discovered that James Blanks had broken into the apartment while the male and female occupants were asleep. The male resident was actively fighting with Blanks while officers were attempting to make entry into the apartment. Blanks was taken into custody for aggravated burglary (occupied habitation), vandalism, and public intoxication. (22-010249)

700 block Maryland Cir / Disorder – Weapon involved:

The complainant called police after an altercation with Justin Clark. The complainant observed a verbal altercation occurring in the front yard of 4307 Fountain Avenue and attempted to deescalate the incident. Clark, who was intoxicated, left the property then walked onto an adjacent small bridge towards an individual and threatened to shoot him. No weapons were displayed during the incident. Warrants are being taken out for simple assault and disorderly conduct. (22-010238)

5301 Ringgold Road / prescription Drug Fraud:

After observing suspicious activity at Walgreens, police made contact with Damian Deates. During the interaction with Deates, police discovered he was in the process of committing prescription drug fraud. He was placed under arrest and charged accordingly. (22-010248)

5300 State Line Road / Traffic Stop:

David Warren was issued a misdemeanor citation for simple possession following a traffic stop at this location. (22-010239)

4214 Ringgold Road / Warrant Service:

Makayla Frizell was arrested on three East Ridge warrants while in custody at the Hamilton County Jail. (22-010251)

5080 S Terrace / Found Property:

Custodial staff at the AMC Movie Theater located a Glock magazine in theater 16 the previous night. The magazine was turned over AMC management who gave it to police officers upon being called the to the Theater. The magazine was put into property and evidence. (22-010237)
