Police Briefs for July 27

The following information was compiled from “pass along reports” provided by the East Ridge Police Department.

July 24 – Day Shift

3200 Castle Ave-

Reports of shots fired in the area. Police were unable to locate anything.

1511 Adair Avenue (theft of property):

The complainant came to the police department to report items stolen from off his porch. The complainant believes the suspect to be a W/M driving an old dark colored vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was going door to door trying to find lawns to mow. The male has tattoos on his face and missing several teeth and a long beard. 21-010511

21-010494 – 623 Camp Jordan Parkway – Theft from Auto –

Hotel guests reported the theft of one Illinois registration tag and one Georgia tag.  Police also found three Tennessee Registration tags damaged in an apparent attempt to remove the items from the three respective vehicles.  All four vehicles were parked in the back lot of the hotel.

21-010512 – 1914 Gunbarrel Rd – Warrant Service/Assist Other Agency –

Katie Spencer was taken into custody on a Capias through East Ridge.  ERPD then assisted CPD in locating he mother of Katie Spencer.  The mother responded to the location and took charge Spencer’s 12-year-old daughter.

21-010507 – 7609 Standifer Gap Road – Warrant Service –

Jonathon P. Kling was served with a Capias for Arrest of Probationer, through the City of East Ridge, at the Hamilton County Jail.

607 S Seminole Rd (animal call):

A brown pit bull and brown and black Yorkshire Terrier were found at this address. Animal control was called and the animals were secured.

July 24 – Night Shift

Dunlap @ Gleason / Shots Fired: (21-010516)

Police responded to a report of shots fired, which were called in by several parties. Police were unable to locate anything.

4214 Ringgold Rd. / Warrant Service: (21-010544)

Cedric Hayes was served with East Ridge warrants while located at Silverdale Detention Facility.

21-010523: 6721 Ringgold Rd- Suspicious Vehicle/Arrest:

Joshua Simulus was arrested for simple possession of marijuana and released on a citation in lieu of arrest

21-009278 / 4214 Ringgold Road / Warrant Service:

Salliyah Brown was arrested at the Hamilton County Jail for an active East Ridge Warrants for False reports.

Exit 1 I-75 SB/ Warrant Service:

While conducting a traffic stop, Police took Candice Miller into custody for a Catoosa County warrant that was extraditable.  She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail at Silverdale.  21-010528.

21-010535/ 5301 Ringgold Road (Walgreens)-

Police were dispatched to Walgreens in regard to a theft. Police were advised a male and a female stole $50 worth of beer and some trash bags from the store. The two parties fled in a black Audi Hatchback style vehicle northbound on McBrien Road.

21-010541/ 1500 Clemons Rd-

Catherine Burden was taken into custody for Driving on Revoked for DUI.

(21-010547) 5501 Ringgold Rd.:

Aundrea Moton was arrested for DUI, retaliation, and driving on suspended following a stop at this location.

July 25 – Day Shift

1426 S Moore Rd  21-010564 (hostage 911 only call/suspicious activity):

A 17-year-old female called on a 911 only phone saying she was being held hostage at this location by an armed male with dreads. The 911 only phone hung up before further information could be gathered by dispatch. Police entered 1426 A (Ankar’s) and 1426 C (Little Manila) per the owner’s permission to clear the address. 1426 B belongs to Ankar’s as well. All rooms were cleared along with the attic. Police also cleared 1421 Choate (consisting of two rented apartments and a shop downstairs). All premises were cleared and no person on scene requiring police assistance was found. Parties on scene noted at all addresses no signs of distress were heard. The female was later located at the Holiday Bowl parking lot, after making another phone call after she was dropped off by the suspect (Dre) and transported to 405. Det Wade was notified and responded to 405 to meet with the party.

July 25 – Night Shift

6600 Ringgold Road / Arrest: (21-010570)

Brandon Dunn was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving on revoked following a traffic stop at this location.

1441 N. Smith St. / Arrest: (21-010590)

Lloyd Culbertson was arrested at this location for driving under the influence, criminal impersonation, drug paraphernalia, and Hamilton County warrants following a traffic stop at this location.

21-010574: 1417 St Thomas St- Suspicious Vehicle/Arrest:

Following a consensual encounter, Quincy Trimble was arrested with over a quarter pound of marijuana, THC wax, and a firearm.

21-010573 / 709 Alice Drive / Theft from a vehicle:

Police responded to this location in reference to four Cavallo Rims taken from this vehicle in the previous three weeks. Report on File.

21-010592 / Traffic Stop / AOA:

Michael Shackleford was taken into custody following a traffic stop at this location and transported to the Hamilton County Jail on a Hamilton County Sessions warrant.
