Police Briefs for July 8

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

July 6 Day Shift

Warrant Service

George McCallie was arrested at the Hamilton County Jail on a capias warrant through the City of East Ridge. The original charge for the capias was ossession of a handgun while under the influence.

Night Shift

1517 Tombras Ave./Warrant Service

Shameca Burt was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear at City Court and transported to Silverdale.

4200 block Ealy Road/Vandalism

Police took a report of a gold Toyota Corolla striking a mailbox. The complainant advised that there has been a continuous problem with excessive speed and reckless driving on the road.

800 Belvoir Ave.

A south bond unknown dark colored sedan crossed the center line in a curve causing a north bound motorcycle to run off the roadway right to avoid collission.

1500 Karwill Ln. Arrest-Driving while licensed revoked/suspended.

Tenrisa Farmer was arrested for driving on revoked for DUI at this location. A 2009 Chevy Impala was seized and placed into the impound lot.

6800 Ringgold Road / Warrant Service

Shaulunda McElraith Carson was arrested on a felony warrant through Georgia during a traffic stop at this location.

4222 Ringgold Road / Arrest-DUI

Police responded to a reported intoxicated person asking other patrons of the Speedway to purchase him more alcoholic beverages. The suspect entered a vehicle and drove away as police arrived. Police stoped the vehicle and arrested the suspect, Clinton Vicente Vicente, for DUI/2nd and violating the open container law.

4222 Ringgold Road/Arrest-DUI

Santos Gonzalez Velazquez was arrested for DUI/3rd during a traffic stop at this location.

Dick graduated from ERHS in 1976 before going on to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he studied Political Science. He was among reporters who were honored by the Associated Press for the TFP's coverage of the 2002 fog-shrouded crash on I-75 in Catoosa County, Dick and his wife, Cathy, live on Marlboro Avenue where they are seen frequently chasing around their three grandsons.
