Day Shift June 7
24-007302- 200 BLK Brookwood Drive- Auto Theft/Recovery- The resident reported his 2023 Subaru Cross trek stolen. He advised it was taken from his residence during the overnight hours. He used an application to identify the last location of the vehicle. Officers located the vehicle in a vacant open field in the 300 block of Greenwood Drive, Chattanooga. The vehicle was returned to the owner.
24-007314- 5300 BLK Ringgold Road- Attempted Theft- The caller advised two males attempted to scam a casher yesterday with a cash card scam. She advised she was able to stop the transaction before it could be completed.
24-007318- 1517 Tombras Avenue- Alleged Assault- A woman called to report she had been assaulted by another female at the dog park. Police spoke with all parties. Witnesses advised there was no assault. Officers checked the community center camera but were unable to determine if an assault had occurred.
Night Shift June 7
24-007329 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Citizen Assist – Police were flagged down by a party requesting assistance searching a car for contraband after the driver was arrested. Police completed the search without finding any contraband. The tag on the Chevrolet Cobalt was registered to a GMC Acadia but was not reported stolen. Police seized the tag and placed it into property and evidence for destruction.
24-007332 – 1100 BLK Greens Lake Rd – Disorder Weapon Involved – Officers responded to this location after a male stabbed a vehicle’s tire and fled. Officers checked the area however the subject was not located. Currently, the suspect is listed to be a male approximately 50 years old and be a possible mental health consumer.
24-007336,24-007339 – Interstate 24 Westbound – Assist Other Agency – Hamilton County Deputies were in pursuit of a motor vehicle which traveled I-75 SB to 24 WB. ERPD Officers were able to successfully deploy spike strips on the fleeing vehicle causing the vehicle to become disabled. A male subject was taken into custody without further incident by HCSO Deputies.
24-007337 – 1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive – Suspicious Vehicle – While on patrol police observed an unoccupied vehicle at the farthest end of the parking lot with its parking lights on. On the ground beside the rear passenger side door was a pocketbook with a Georgia DL belonging to a different party than the registered owner. Officers attempted to contact the phone number registered to the driver’s license and the vehicle. The pocketbook was placed into property and evidence for safe keeping.
Day Shift June 8
24-007352- 5400 BLK Connell Street- Burglary- The caller advised sometime between 6-1-24 and 6-8-24 and unknown suspect(s) entered the residence through previous storm damage and took property. CID was notified.
Night Shift June 8
24-007366 – 400 BLK McBrien Road – Suspicious Activity – A caller reported seeing an unknown male enter a unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot and begin digging around in the car. On arrival police found the car to be stolen out of Chattanooga. The owner was contacted and came and picked the vehicle up.
24-007368 – 1400 BLK Sunnyfield Lane – Theft– The caller advised that her son’s BMX bike was stolen at some point during the night hours. Report on file.
24-007373 – 3900 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop/Arrest – Police observed a red sedan traveling west on Ringgold Road with no license plate. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was found to have two outstanding warrants. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-007376 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Hit and Run – A traffic crash occurred at this location with one vehicle fleeing the scene. A short time later the fleeing vehicle was found, and a woman was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident, financial responsibility, driving under the influence, possession of a handgun while under the influence, and possession of marijuana.
24-007378 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Auto Theft in Progress – Officers responded to an auto theft in progress at the gas station. After receiving updated locations from a witness to the theft officers located the stolen vehicle on Chateau Lane in Chattanooga. Upon contacting the vehicle, a male juvenile fled on foot but was taken into custody a short time later.
24-007379 – 3500 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Vehicle – While on patrol police observed a car parked behind the business with an occupant sleeping inside. The occupant told police he was currently homeless and felt it was safe to park behind the building to sleep. Police asked him to relocate to a more appropriate location.
Day Shift June 9
24-007389- 3600 BLK Ringgold Road- Suspicious Person- The caller advised a homeless female was in the restroom refusing to leave. Officers spoke with the female who was advised to leave the building.
Night Shift June 9
24-007407 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – While patrolling police noticed a verbal disorder at this location. Officers separated the parties, and it was determined that it was a verbal dispute only. Parties were checked for warrants and sent on their way.
24-007409 – 3900 BLK Ringgold Road – Citizen Well Being – Police were dispatched to check on a homeless party asleep at the business. Police woke her and asked if she wanted a ride to Chattanooga Rescue Mission, but she declined stating, “last time they wouldn’t let me stay”. During the exchange police were dispatched to a higher priority incident.
24-007411 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Field Interview – While patrolling the 6500 block of Ringgold Road police observed a bicyclist crossing Ringgold Road without a bike light after dark. The man told police he was from Florida visiting for court. He had a warrant with Hamilton County that did not verify. A field interview was performed.
Day Shift June 10
24-007440 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – The reporting party stated a female was dancing on a vehicle while wearing a bunny rabbit mask. Officers encountered the woman who stated she was, indeed, dancing on her car. She said it was a beautiful day and she enjoyed dancing. She was checked for warrants and sent on her way.
24-007436 – 6300 BLK Ringgold Road – Auto Theft Recovered – The Catoosa County Sheriff’s office was informed a stolen vehicle was parked at business in East Ridge. Officers located and confirmed the vehicle was at the location. The vehicle was released to the owner.
24-007430 – 1600 BLK Waterhouse Street – Well Being Check – Officers responded to reports of a female party yelling and rolling around on the side of the road. Police contacted the known mental health consumer, who stated she needed transportation to Brainerd Road. She was given a courtesy ride to the 4900 BLK Brainerd Rd.
24-007424 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Miscellaneous Complaint – A man. advised police his mail had been tampered with for the last few years, including stolen and opened. He was unable to provide any proof a theft had occurred.
Night Shift June 10
24-007452 – 5600 BLK Brainerd Rd — Found Property – An East Ridge resident reported finding a body camera near the Eastgate area of Brainerd. CPD was contacted, but the reporting officer stated the body camera did not belong to them and refused to take custody of it. The camera was entered into East Ridge Property and Evidence. The owner of the body camera was undetermined.
24-007467 – 5400 BLK Ringgold Road — Field Interview – A man was found digging through the dumpster. He told police the specific dumpster was popular because electronic parts could be found in it. He was checked for warrants and sent on his way.
