Police Briefs for June 17

The following information was compiled from “pass along reports” provided by the administration of the East Ridge Police Department.

June 15 Day Shift

4214 Ringgold Road (Theft):

The reporting party stated he parked his vehicle at the Best Western located at 6710 Ringgold Road on 05/31/2021 at approximately 0700 hours. RP stated he returned on 06/12/2021 at approximately 1830 hours. RP stated when starting his vehicle he noticed it was really loud and that someone had cut off his catalytic converter. RP stated a muffler shop gave him a quote of $300 for a replacement. RP stated his vehicle is a 1998 Nissan Frontier pickup. No suspects at this time. 21-008459

3419 Gail Dr/ Lost or Stolen tag:

Reporting party contacted police to report her car tag, 6Z36F7, had been lost or stolen sometime between yesterday at 2 PM and today at 2 PM. Tag was entered into NCIC. 21-008466

Night Shift

3900 Ringgold Rd (Disorder 21-008477):

Officers responded to a disorder between motorists in the 3900 block of Ringgold Rd. The disorder was verbal only and the participants left the area without further incident.

6612 Jordan Run (Suspicious Activity 21-008479):

The reporting party stated a Hispanic male and black male were walking the neighborhood claiming to be checking resident’s gutters. Subject were gone when police arrived.

6710 Ringgold Rd (Disorder 21-008481):

Staff of the Best Western were in a verbal disorder with guests who had been smoking in their room and who refused to leave. Officers made contact with Kiara Carson and Akiya Edwards. Carson was found to have multiple warrants through Hamilton County. She was found to be in possession of a stolen firearm, cocaine, drug paraphernalia and oxycodone. Edwards was also charged with possession of cocaine and oxycodone. Both were transported to Silverdale on their respective charges.

6727 Ringgold Rd (Assault 21-008483):

Police responded to reports of a male assaulting a female in a gold Honda. Officers located the vehicle behind Wendy’s restaurant. There were no physical indications an assault had taken place and both parties claimed no assault had occurred.

1029 S. Seminole (Arrest 21-008491):

Police observed a silver Chevrolet Malibu matching the description of a recently BOLO’d vehicle that had been involved in a robbery in Chattanooga. A check of the registration plate revealed the vehicle was stolen. Chelsea Griffith was taken into custody for possession of the stolen car.

1417 St Thomas St (Assist EMS 21-008494):

Police assisted fire department personnel and EMS with an extremely intoxicated party who required transport to the emergency room.

1300 San Hsi (Evading 21-008500):

Police attempted to stop a dark green sedan, possibly a Mazda, traveling north in the 1300 block of San Hsi. The vehicle immediately accelerated and fled officers. Per department policy police did not pursue the vehicle.
