Police Briefs for May 13

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

May 11 Day Shift

21-006498- 6600 blk of Ringgold Road @ North Bound Entrance Ramp- Traffic Stop/Arrest-

Gary Couey was arrested on an East Ridge warrant and several other drug and driving charges following a traffic stop. He was transported to 601 without incident.

21-006501- 4131 Ringgold Road (Jones Memorial)- Suspicious Person-

The caller advised of a white female hanging out around the dumpster area. On arrival police spoke with the female then sent her on her way.

21-006503- 2000 blk of Tombras Avenue- Citizen Assist-

A man’s motorized wheelchair failed again while he was in the roadway. Police and Fire assisted him home. His chair was towed to his residence.

21-006513- 3300 blk of Ringgold Road (Tunnels)- Check Hazard-

The caller advised of an eighteen-wheeler stuck in the tunnel. Police responded and assisted the truck from the tunnel. A citation was issued.

21-006518- 201 Eads Street (Dogwood Place)- Phone Scam-

The caller advised she was scammed over the phone and an unknown suspect stole $98 from her bank account. On arrival the caller declined to file a report and advised she just wanted police to be aware. 

21-006519- 6713 Jordan Run- Speeders-

Complainant called to report a BMW speeding through the neighborhood. Police responded and spoke to the complainant. She requested extra patrols in the neighborhood.

 Night Shift

825 Poindexter Ave / Property Damage:

Police spoke with the reporting party by phone who stated that an unknown landscaping company struck her vehicle on 05/07/21 causing minor damage. Report on file. 21-006527

4214 Ringgold Road/Warrant Service:

Athena Hayes was arrested on an East Ridge Warrant.  21-006528

4214 Ringgold Road/Warrant Service:

Justina Bauldwin was arrested on an East Ridge Warrant.  21-006529

4214 Ringgold Road/Warrant Service:

Rodney Ballard was arrested on an East Ridge Warrant.  21-006530

4214 Ringgold Road / Warrant Service:

Alias Capias Driving on Suspended warrant served on Tamarra Quantay Daniels. 21-006547

4214 Ringgold Road / Warrant Arrest:

Alias Capias Driving on Suspended warrant served on Aqua Cherie Gladden. 21-006551

5418 Ringgold Road – Arrest:

Police were notified of a rolling disorder by a female who told 911 that she was being kidnapped. RapidSOS placed them initially in the 1300 block of Spring Creek Drive, then eastbound on Ringgold Road. The caller stated she was in a truck and nothing else. Police were unable to locate the caller initially. Police were later advised that the phone was showing a RapidSOS near 1501 Fruitland Drive. Police located the vehicle and two occupants at the Apollo Car Wash. The female was identified as Lashanda Birt. Birt stated everything was okay and she only told 911 she was being kidnapped because the male insulted her. Birt was arrested and charged with false reports and misuse of 911.  21-006552
