Police Briefs for Nov. 20

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

Nov. 18 Day Shift

123 Hilldale Drive- Suspicious Person-

The caller advised she observed a male attempting to enter her vehicle. The male was unable to make entry and walked off. Officers responded and checked the area. The suspicious male was not located.

1503 McDonald Road (Waverly Motel)- Domestic Assault-

A woman called and advised she had been assaulted by Ricky Covington. During the investigation it was found the assault did not occur in East Ridge. She was transported to CPD’s downtown Precinct to speak with an officer. Later in the shift CPD requested police attempt to locate Ricky Covington for a warrant service. On arrival to the motel it was found Covington had already checked out and left the area.

3218 Gleason Drive- Vandalism-

On arrival police contacted the victim. She advised an unknown suspect(s) broke the left rear window out of her 2016 white Honda Accord. The victim further stated that she believes the incident occurred sometime between 1800 hours on 11/17/20 and 0700 hours on today’s date. The victim stated it appeared the suspect did not make entry into her vehicle.

631 Camp Jordan Parkway (Johnathan’s Grille)- Vehicle Burglary-

Upon arrival, police made contact with the complainant who advised that while he and his family were visiting the establishment on the previous night 11-17, his unlocked vehicle was entered and several items were stolen. A Chattanooga Red Wolves sports bag that contained children’s soccer equipment, a razor scooter and $100 cash was stolen.

4907 Fike Drive- Suspicious Person-

The caller advised an unknown black male knocked on the door asking to see a person unknown to the caller. When told the unknown person was not at the residence the male attempted to question why and refused to leave. On police arrival the male had left the area.

Warrant Service-

Ricky Halfacre was served an East Ridge warrant at the Hamilton County Jail.

Night Shift

3725 Fountain Ave #81 / Disorder:

Police responded to 3630 Fountain Avenue where a juvenile had knocked on a random door and asked for help. Police spoke with the juvenile who claimed to have been assaulted by her older sister. Police made contact with the mother of the juvenile as well as the older sister and were able to watch camera footage of the incident. The footage matched the story of the older sister and police were able to determine no assault took place. The mother advised police the juvenile has done this before and tried to get her sister in trouble. Police spoke to the juvenile about the severity of the situation and the consequences she could face.

5305 Connell Street / Assit EMS/Fire:

Police responded to the address on a residence fire. Upon arrival it was determined that the resident was intoxicated and left food cooking on the stove.

601 Walnut Street / Arrest- Warrant:

Codi Allison was arrested on an East Ridge warrant while in custody in Hamilton County Jail.

601 Walnut Street / Arrest-Warrant:

Lindsey R. Grider was arrested on an East Ridge forfeiture capias warrant for Theft under $1000.
