Police Briefs for Nov. 5

The following information was compiled from East Ridge Police Department “pass along” reports.

Nov. 4 Day Shift

814 Belvoir Terrace (theft):

Property owner reported the theft of paving bricks and a glass poolside table. He has just evicted two people he suspects in the theft. He has requested extra patrol in the event the former tenants return to steal additional items. The suspects drive a white Chevrolet Tahoe and a white Dodge Durango.

4810 Fike Drive (theft):

The resident reported overnight an unknown suspect stole her TN registration (W4003N) from her 2014 Kia Optima. 

1702 Prigmore Road (drug arrest):

Jessica Baliles was arrested for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia as well as an active East Ridge warrant for drug possession.

1517 Tombras Avenue (fight):

Several juveniles were involved in a fight at the playground.

635 Marlboro Avenue (theft):

The resident reported the theft of her Schumaker battery charger which had been beside her house. The charger was last seen Saturday evening.

6701 Ringgold Road (auto theft/recovery):

The complainant reported the theft of his 2016 Nissan Versa from the Shell station which occurred while he was inside buying items. The vehicle was later recovered by CPD at 1019 North Moore Road. The vehicle was removed from NCIC, and the owner was contacted to retrieve his car.

Night Shift

5300 Weaver St (traffic):

Shad Allard issued misdemeanor citation for driving on suspended.

5307 Dupont Drive (Suicide Attempt):

A man at this location overdosed on his prescription medication.  He was breathing and responsive when police arrived on scene.  He told police that he was trying to kill himself.  He was transported to Parkridge East Hospital by EMS.

6100 Ringgold Rd (MVC):

Aman Dodhia was arrested for following too close, Failure to sign citation, and possession of schedule substance with intent following a crash at this location.

I75 North .4 mm (DUI):

Augustine Reyes was arrested for DUI, driving without a license, due care, financial responsibility, and seat belt law after he crashed his 1994 Ford Ranger into the back of a dump truck that was working on I75.

402 Alice Dr. (medical):

Police were dispatched to this location regarding a female who was not responding. Upon arrival CPR was started, ER Fire and Memorial EMS arrived on scene and continued CPR. The patient was transported to Park Ridge Main.

4150 Ringgold Rd. (disorder):

Police were dispatched to the Wal-Mart fuel station regarding two females yelling at each other at the fuel pumps. Parties were GOA upon police arrival.

1434 N. Smith St. (suspicious persons):

Police were dispatched to this location regarding two homeless people wandering around in the backyard. Reporting party stated one B/M and one W/F were in her backyard. RP stated it appeared the female was changing her clothes. Parties were GOA upon police arrival.

McBrien Rd @ S. Terrace. (shots fired):

Police were dispatched to this area regarding a caller reporting they heard three shots fired. Police searched the area and were unable to locate anything.

901 S Seminole (alarm):

Police were dispatched to this location regarding an alarm. Upon arrival police made contact with the homeowner who stated it was an accident, she didn’t mean to set the alarm off.

1100 S Seminole (crash/arrest):

Police were dispatched to this location regarding a two-vehicle crash that was blocking the roadway. Upon police arrival both drivers’ information was ran through dispatch. A warrant out of Hamilton County was found to be active for one of the drivers’, Mr. Ramos. Police took Mr. Ramos into custody and transported him to the Hamilton County Jail.
