Police Briefs for Oct. 23

The following information was compiled from East Ridge Police Department “pass along” reports.

Oct. 22 Day Shift

806 Donaldson Road (theft):

The complainant reported a refrigerator stolen from the fire damaged duplex at this location.

6514 Ringgold Road (runaway juveniles):

Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office from Kentucky pinged a phone from a missing sixteen year old female to the Mapco. Police located the juvenile who had been driven down here by her friend, a seventeen year old male, who took his mother’s car without permission from Kentucky this morning. The parents of both juveniles were contacted.The female juvenile was removed from NCIC, and JDU agreed to house the juveniles until their parents could pick them up later today. 

6401 Ringgold Road (overdose):

Police responded to McDonald’s in reference to an unresponsive male located in a parked vehicle on the lot. The male subject was nonresponsive but breathing and was transported by EMS to Parkridge East Hospital. He had taken a Roxicodone 30 mg earlier in the day.

5401 Ringgold Road (domestic assault):

A woman reported she got into an argument with her boyfriend, Eric Mitchell, inside a vehicle in the parking lot of First Tennessee Bank.  The woman stated at some point Mr. Mitchell bit her hand resulting in a bloody bite mark.  Mr. Mitchell fled in the white 2007 Jeep Commander that he had been allowed to borrow.  A warrant for domestic assault was sought.

1517 Tombras Avenue (warrant service):

Marcus High was taken into custody at the East Ridge court house on six outstanding county warrants. He was transported from the courthouse to Hamilton County Jail without incident.

Night Shift

3918 Ringgold Rd. (overdose):

Police were dispatched to a shack behind this location. A male subject was found unresponsive from apparent drug overdose. Police administered Narcan and the man began responding. He refused medical treatment. No further action taken.

4150 Ringgold Rd. (drug para):

Connie Dunn was issued a misdemeanor citation for possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop.

4222 Ringgold Rd. (criminal trespass):

Dylan Griffith was issued a misdemeanor citation for criminal trespass (Speedway). Mr. Griffith was trespassed from the Speedway less than week ago.

500 Frawley Road:

At 00:48 hours In the 500 block of Frawley Rd. a small pickup was clocked at 74 mph in a 30 mph zone. After the truck passed the officer and the blue lights came on, the driver turned off his lights, continuing northbound to Camp Jordan Road in the 400 block of Frawley Rd. As the officer got to Camp Jordan  Rd. he saw the pickup turn into a driveway in the 300 block of Camp Jordan Rd. As the officer stopped behind the pickup, the driver stepped out starting to walk toward the officer. The driver, David S. Williams, was arrested and charged with DUI, implied consent, light law, speeding and evading due to him turning off his lights. 

 8 Ridgeside Dr (Suspicious Activity):

Homeowner reported seeing a white male walking through the neighborhood, looking in vehicle windows. Police responded to the area but were not able to find the suspect. 

3302 Navajo Drive (Shots Fired):

An anonymous person reported hearing three shots outside the apartment complex.  The anonymous party also reported that a dark color SUV and a black sedan left the scene immediately after the shots were fired. Police did not locate the vehicles, but found three fired 9mm casings at the scene.  Police did not find any damage associated with the gunshots in the surrounding vehicles or buildings.
