Police Briefs for Oct. 3

The following information was compiled from East Ridge Police Department “pass along” reports.

Oct. 1 Day Shift

941 Spring Creek Road (Parkridge East):

Disorder- Hospital staff called advising the security guard was in a fight with a psych patient in room two. Upon arrival the guard had already subdued the patient.

4323 Ringgold Road (SunTrust Bank):

Suspicious Person/Arrest- Police were dispatched regarding a female laying in the drive-thru of the bank. Upon arrival police encountered Kristy Mann sleeping in a puddle of her own urine. She was found to have Hamilton County warrants and was transported to 601. Upon arrival to the jail Mann was found to be in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. She was charged accordingly.

200 Hilldale Drive:

Vehicle Burglary- The caller advised an unknown suspect entered her vehicle and rummaged through her things. She advised nothing appeared to be missing.

4334 Ringgold Road (Regions Bank):

Deceptive Practice)- Police responded police department and spoke with the complainants who claimed that they were the victims of a gift card/online scam that was processed using their Regions Bank account. There are currently no suspects.

Warrant Service:

Jaquone Frazier was served several East Ridge warrants after turning himself over to police. He was transported to 601 Walnut St., the address of the Hamilton County Jail.

Warrant Service:

Frankie Petty was served an East Ridge alias/capias warrant for resisting arrest. He was transported to 601.

John Ross Road @ Fredrick Drive:

AOA Warrant Service- Officers encountered Jessica Board in the area and found she was wanted out of Catoosa on extraditable felony probation violation warrants. She was transported to 601.

201 Eads Street #312 (Dogwood Place):

AOA Warrant Service- CSU and patrol detained Deron Banks on felony warrants and transported him to 601.

McBrien Road @ Ringgold Road:

Wellbeing Check- Police were dispatched regarding a male in a black truck slumped over the steering wheel. Upon arrival the vehicle was gone.

1542 Burns Avenue:

Disorder- Police were dispatched regarding a fight between brothers. Upon police arrival in the area one male subject was observed running from the scene and his brother was advising he was suicidal. Officers responded to the surrounding neighborhoods to locate the suicidal suspect. The male subject  was finally located across the street in the laundry room of a duplex. He was taken into protective custody based on his statements to officers he wanted to kill himself and transported to Parkridge East. He was almost immediately issued a CON.

Night Shift

6519 Ringgold Road / Suicidal Threats:

ERPD received reports from Lebanon PD that a man told his family that he was headed to Florida to commit suicide.  Police discovered the man in room 108.  His wife stated that he mentioned Suicide by Cop in one message.  After confirming suicidal threats through LPD, ERPD placed the man into protective custody and transported him for evaluation at Parkridge East.

6401 Ringgold Road / Criminal Trespass:

McDonald’s management wanted to trespass Amber Bates.  Management told Ms. Bates to leave McDonalds and she became belligerent and attempted to throw soda on them.  Ms. Bates was located sleeping in the bushes outside of the restaurant.  Police explained that if she came back, she would be arrested for trespassing.  She is not allowed to return to the McDonald’s property.  Ms. Bates gathered her belongings and departed the area.

323 Camp Jordan Pkwy / Found Property:

Police were called regarding found property. Two camping chairs, a glass bong, 7 grams of marijuana, a black grinder, and a backpack containing a jacket were recovered from inside the newly built concession building. The RP stated that the building was locked when she arrived and that everyone that works in Camp Jordan has a master key that would unlock the building. There was no damage to the doors that indicated forced entry.

4214 Ringgold Rd / Stolen Firearm Recovery:

Jacksonville State University Police recovered a Sig Sauer pistol that was reported stolen out of East Ridge in 2006. The firearm was removed from NCIC and a supplemental report was completed.

550 Wando Dr. / Domestic Assault:

Police responded to a domestic assault at this location. After interviewing all parties involved Kenneth Pruitt was taken into custody for domestic assault.

1801 Prigmore Rd. / Theft:

The complainant reported a check stolen from his mail box and cashed without his authorization report on file.

2100 McBrien Rd. / Traffic Arrest:

Ceara Wagner was taken into custody following a traffic stop at this location and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of schedule IV narcotics, and possession of a stolen firearm.

3220 Gleason Drive Apt 59 / Theft:

The complainant advised that she had ordered an iPhone 8 from Sprint.  She advised that UPS told her that the package with the phone had already been delivered at 1725 hours.  She checked outside her door at approximately 1800 hours and the phone was not there.  There is so suspect information. 

11 Belvoir Circle / Suspicious Person:

The complainant advised that there was a male party that has recently been seen close to her residence. She advised that a few months ago she caught the male party looking in her windows at her home.  The complainant advised that she hadn’t seen the male party since that incident until approximately 0830 hours on 10/01/19.  She advised that the party was very suspicious and wanted police to be aware.  The party was described as white male with a thin build, 5’11” tall, wearing a red shirt with dark shorts and a backpack.
