The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”
Oct. 5 Day Shift
6514 Ringgold Road (deceptive practice):
The clerk at Mapco claimed she received a call around 1:00 a.m. from her district manager. This manager told her to take money out of the safe and leave the store. The manager told her to take the money to Walgreen’s and buy several gift cards with it. ERPD night shift officers checked the store when the clerk could not be found. Mapco management responded and interviewed the clerk before calling the police about the theft. (21-014482)
6500 block Burr Street (suspicious person):
The resident returned home to find an intoxicated subject in his yard. He called police after he recognized the female trespasser as his uncle’s ex-wife. Due to her level of intoxication she was taken into custody for public intoxication. (21-014493)
I-75 (suspicious person):
Several motorists called in saying they observed a white female standing near the rail of a bridge as if intending to jump. Police checked both sides of the interstate and could not locate anyone. (21-014498)
2000 block Myrtle Avenue (overdose):
A female was found unresponsive by her mother and co-worker from a possible overdose of Xanax. Parties on scene administered Narcan to the patient before responders arrived, but the patient became unconscious again. ERFD and HCEMS arrived on scene and the female was transported to Parkridge East Hospital. It was later discovered that she was in various states of unconsciousness over several hours of the day and previous night and her eight-year-old son was witness to this. A CPS referral was made due to her extensive drug issues. (21-014490)
941 Spring Creek Rd (Arrest 21-014508):
Parkridge East staff requested police assistance in dealing with a psychiatric patient. The patient had been unruly and vulgar with the nursing staff. He also attempted to assault male medical personnel. He was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and indecent exposure. He was transported to Silverdale.
3800 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-014515):
A juvenile male was taken into custody for driving without a license, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to render aid in a crash with injury and underage consumption of alcohol.
941 Spring Creek Rd (Delayed Shooting 21-014518):
A male party arrived at Parkridge East after suffering a gunshot wound in Chattanooga. The subject stated he hated the police and refused to speak with officers about the incident. His girlfriend was located in the waiting room and the vehicle he was driven to the hospital in was located in the parking lot. Chattanooga Police responded and processed the vehicle for any possible evidence.
4214 Ringgold Rd (Warrant Arrest 21-014522):
Charles Bettis was arrested on East Ridge warrants at Silverdale.
6500 Ringgold Rd (DUI 21-0144523):
Dexter Swope was taken into custody for DUI during a traffic stop.
700 block Shady Dr (Arrest 21-014527):
Kinsley Knox was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a firearm. She was transported to Silverdale.
6514 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-014529):
Jarrod Pickett and Sonia Smith were encountered during a traffic stop. They were found to be in possession of almost an ounce of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. They were charged accordingly and transported to Silverdale.
4214 Ringgold Rd (Warrant Arrest 21-014528):
Terence Watkins was arrested on East Ridge warrants at Silverdale
