Police Briefs for Sept. 17

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along” reports.

Sept. 16 Day Shift

3608 Missionaire Avenue:

Vehicle Burglary- The caller advised sometime during the night someone entered her vehicle and took a pink .22 caliber handgun. The caller was unable to provide any information on the gun and there are no suspects.

6721 Ringgold Road (Family Dollar):

Disorder/Improperly Parked Vehicle- The caller advised of an eighteen-wheeler parked in the lot without permission. Per the caller the driver had been asked several times to move but refused. Upon arrival the driver moved the truck.

710 Donaldson Drive:

Theft- The resident contacted police in reference to a stolen car tag. The resident told police via telephone he last saw his tag on the vehicle yesterday around 1530 hours while staying at a friend’s house on Donaldson. When he came out this morning, he realized his tag, DP05405 Tn, was missing. The tag was entered in.

6721 Ringgold Road (Family Dollar):

Suspicious Person/Arrest- While en route to the store police observed two females matching the description of the suspects at Ringgold Road and Camp Jordon Parkway. Upon contacting the female’s, they were identified as Stephanie Villers (AKA Laws) and Angie G.. A check of both suspects information found that Villers had a Walker County warrant. Officers could smell the odor of marijuana coming from Villers and she was asked to empty her pockets. While doing so Villers attempted to hide several small items in her right hand. One small clear bag of meth and a small piece of white paper containing marijuana were located. Villers was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

5001 Fike Drive:

Warrant Service- Jeremy Witt was taken into custody on outstanding warrants. His “acquaintance” Alisha was sent on her way with a no trespass warning issued by Witt’s mother.

1508 Tombras Avenue:

Disorder- Multiple juveniles from the school causing a disorder and attempting to fight with each other. Upon arrival officers were able to stop the disorder and send everyone on their way.

East Ridge Court:

Disruptive Juveniles- The court called to advise of several juveniles hanging around the court side of the building and being disruptive. This has been an ongoing issue with the school children. The children were gone upon arrival.

1913 Close Road:

Theft- The resident advised sometime between 9/12/2019 at 1700 hours and 9/14/2019 at 0800 hours, someone removed all the copper piping from under his house. The resident stated the cost of replacing the piping is approximately $1000.00. He also stated over a month ago he noticed a custom ocean style rod and reel came up missing from his carport. The victim stated the value of the fishing rod was approximately $300.00. No suspect information. The victim stated no one should be at the house after dark and requested police watch the house at night.

201 Eads Street (Dogwood Place):

Vehicle Burglary- Upon arrival police spoke to the complainant. She advised last night between 2000 and 0800 hours her vehicle was entered. The victim advised the only items taken were her wallet and change purse. There is currently no suspect information.

100 blk of Kingwood Drive:

Intoxicated Person- Chad Lewis was arrested and charged with public intoxication following a citizen complaint.

Night Shift

4214 Ringgold Road / Burglary from Auto:

The incident took place outside of the victim’s apt at 201 Eads Street.  The Victim reported that his Taurus PT140, .40 cal pistol (SN:  SJW55112) was stolen from one of his vehicles.  The victim does not recall which car it was in when it was stolen.  The theft occurred between Friday 9/13 and Monday 9/16. No suspect information available at this time.  Firearm was entered into.

411 Dunlap Ave Apt A / Domestic Assault:

Police were dispatched to this address regarding a domestic disorder. The victim provided police with a cell phone video of her daughter screaming at her while being inches away from her face and then shoving her multiple times. The victim stated that she was afraid her daughter was going to kill her and she was worried for her own safety. The daughter had left the scene before police arrival. Warrants are being sought for domestic assault.

334 Camp Jordan Rd / Disorder:

Police were called by a neighbor of this location who advised he could here a male yelling at a female. Upon arrival police contacted a female in the front yard who advised her grandson who was no longer on scene had been upset, but advised police no assault took place.

6000 Ringgold Rd. / Narcotics:

Monica Dean was taken into custody for simple possession following a traffic stop at this location.
