Secret Santas Sponsoring Free Pet Adoptions at Catoosa County Animal Shelter

December 23, 2025 By Contributed Article Leave a Comment

RINGGOLD, GA. – Some “Secret Santas” with big hearts for the fur babies in the care of Catoosa County Animal Control are sponsoring 62 animal adoptions with anonymous donations of $3,700. In this spirit of giving, the donations cover all costs of adoption including a wellness check and spay/neuter.

“We are grateful for the Secret Santa’s generosity because they are supporting our mission to give wayward and unwanted pets a second chance at being part of a loving family,” said Dylan McCollum, Interim Director of Catoosa County Animal Control. “By lowering the financial barrier to pet adoption we want everyone who wants to be a responsible pet owner to experience the joy the Christmas season brings.”

The Catoosa County Animal Shelter is at 101 Allmond Trail in Ringgold. They can be reached by calling (706) 935-2454. Their Facebook page features some of the available animals which can be seen at: https://www.facebook.com/catoosacountyanimalcontrol/

The Catoosa County Animal Shelter is open Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It will be closed for the Christmas holiday Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25. The shelter re-opens Friday, December 26. For more information contact Catoosa County PIO John Pless at [email protected] or (423) 779.4069.
