Sept. 14 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

September 10 – Day Shift

 701 Pirtle Street- Auto Theft-

Upon arrival, police made spoke with the resident. He advised while his vehicle was warming up in the driveway, it was stolen. The victim advised that he started his vehicle at approximately 0602 hours before returning inside of his home to shave and finish getting ready for work. He stated that he walked back outside and noticed his vehicle was gone at approximately 0611 hours. Police did not see any security cameras in the area and there is no suspect information. The vehicle was entered in NCIC as stolen and a county wide BOLO was issued.

1001 Yale Street- Alarm-

Police responded to check the building. Upon arrival it appeared secure. 

3302 Navajo Drive- Suspicious Person-

The caller advised of a black male sitting in front of the complex. Upon arrival the male was found to be a resident of the complex.

Warrant Service-

Mitchell Bowman contacted the East Ridge Police Department and voluntarily turned-in himself into police at his residence on 5422 Marion Avenue.  Bowman had an active warrant for Vandalism with a bond of $1500.  Bowman was transported to the Hamilton County Jail at 601 Walnut Street.

838 Belvoir Hills Drive- Theft-

The caller advised an unknown suspect took several signs from her front yard. A report was filed.

September 10 –Night Shift

 3900 Ringgold Rd. / AOA Warrant:

Police conducted a traffic stop at this location for a light law violation which resulted in the front seat passenger Jonathan Weaver being taken into custody for an active felony warrant through Hamilton County. Weaver was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

6124 Sherewood / Aggressive Animal:

Police responded to this location in reference to two aggressive dogs. Upon police arrival it was determined the dogs had not attacked anyone and were put away prior to police arrival.

1517 Tombras Avenue/Burglar Alarm:

Police dispatched for library motion activation.  Building checked secured.

800 S Germantown Rd / Traffic stop:

Dasiah Green Johnson was issued a misdemeanor citation for possession of schedule II following a traffic stop.

3728 Ringgold Road / Traffic stop:

Maurice Jackson was arrested for speeding, financial responsibility, expired registration, and unlawful possession of a firearm following a traffic stop in which he refused to sign for his citations.

3600 Old Ringgold Road/Drug arrest:

During a traffic stop at this location Rebecca Sparks was arrested for possession of schedue II and drug paraphernalia. Falicia Jones was arrested for poss. of sch II and an East Ridge warrant.

3300 Ringgold Road/Warrant Service:

During a consensual encounter at the Coin Laundry, Kristol Reno was arrested on a Soddy Daisy Warrant. Billy Jack Leffew was arrested on several felony Hamilton County warrants.

September 11 – Day Shift

 3 Sheridan Drive (auto burglary):

The resident’s vehicle was broken into overnight after suspects broke out the rear window. Two firearms were stolen from the center console. The resident believes her 15-year-old son may be responsible.

838 Belvoir Hills Drive (theft):

Amanda Arp contacted police to advise she saw the suspect responsible for stealing her BLM signs from her yard. She followed the suspect and was able to copy the vehicle tag.

3818 Kingwood Circle (warrant service): Police arrested Jesse Johnson at this location for HCSO warrants following a tip from an anonymous individual.

I-75 South (AOA):

A tractor trailer flipped while traveling through the split and came to a stop in East Ridge blocking all three lanes. CPD responded, and East Ridge assisted.

4107 Belvoir Drive (fraud):

The resident reported being scammed out of $4,000 via a computer hacker.

3803 Northview Avenue (burglary):

The resident reported an unknown suspect kicked in her rear door and ransacked her home. She stated nothing appeared to be taken. CID was notified and responded.

September 11 – Night Shift

 5600 Ringgold Rd (CPR 20-012085):

A driver for Buchannan Trucking was found on the side of Ringgold Rd unresponsive. CPR was started and the party was transported to the hospital.

525 S St Marks (Unwanted Party 20-012):

Keith Land was in the residence and refused to leave at the owner’s request. Land was located by police hiding in the basement. The skills of HNT were utilized and Land responded by eventually exiting the residence.

201 Eads St Apt 424  (Noise Complaint):

Police responded to this location and gave the tenants a warning for loud noise. The tenants agreed to keep the noise level down for the evening.

941 Spring Creek (Back Fire 20-012091):

Assisted fire with establishing a landing zone for Lifeforce 6.

1410 Mack Smith (Disorder Prevention 20-012091):

Reporting party requested police stand by while he asked motel management about items missing from his apartment. Motel management advised the RP he would need to return during normal business hours.

1428 N Smith (Suspicious Activity 20-012094):

Caller stated she witnessed parties in an older Chevrolet truck take a lawnmower from this address. Nothing located by police.

639 Camp Jordan Pkwy (Intoxicated Party 20-012096):

Caller stated a male party was passed out on the sidewalk in front of Chick-fil-A. Philip Carver was taken into custody for Public Intoxication and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

6513 Ringgold Rd (Disorder):

Caller stated a male in a red Jeep was making lewd comments to women in the parking lot. Subject was gone when police arrived.

601 Walnut St (Warrant Arrest 20-012103):

Lyndsey Sayre was arrested on East Ridge warrants following a traffic stop in Collegedale.

5334 Connell St (Noise Complaint):

Police made a return trip to the area because the original RP called back in stating he had located the source of the noise. Officers were unable to make contact with the violators due to large, aggressive dogs in the yard. The RP was unhappy with the officer’s decision to avoid being bitten by the dogs and return at a later date to speak with the violators.

930 Belvoir Ave (Robbery from a Person 20-012107):

The complainant stated she was delivering a newspaper to this address when she observed a white male laying in the driveway. She stated the subject approached her and demanded her money.
