Sept. 21 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

September 18 – Day Shift

21-013561- 604 Bacon Trail #2- Disorder with a Weapon/Stolen Vehicle Recovery-

The caller advised several male subjects in a silver Lexus were attempting to enter her residence and one had a gun. On scene officers observed the suspect vehicle leaving the area south on Bacon Trail into Belvoir Hills Estates. Police located the vehicle abandoned in the parking lot. The vehicle confirmed stolen from Chattanooga. CPD and the vehicle owner were notified. The owner responded to pick up his vehicle.

During the disorder investigation the caller became uncooperative with officers, however, a firearm was found near the incident location. A Juvenile suspect was arrested and charged in connection with the found firearm. This incident is still under investigation.

September 18 – Night Shift

21-013569/ 6831 ½ Martha Avenue/ Burglary: 

The complainant reported that an unknown suspect driving a U-Haul pickup truck entered his house without permission.  This occurred while he was away from home between 0800 to 1600 this date.  The suspect took a Visio 42” TV from the victim’s bedroom, a Stihl Weedeater, along with a pole saw attachment from the garage.  No signs of forced entry, and the victim stated that he left his kitchen door unlocked. 

4100 block Ringgold Road / Misdemeanor Citation:

Heather N. Bettors was issued a misdemeanor citation for Simple Possession / Casual Exchange.  21-013568

21-013584- Warrant Service-

Police were notified by CPD that they were out with a subject who had a possible East Ridge warrant. Police verified that Jennifer Rowe had warrants for driving on revoked. CPD transported Rowe to Silverdale, where she was served with her warrants.

21-013562 1204 Mcbrien Road / MVC / Arrest:

Luis Gonzalez was arrested for DUI following a traffic crash at this location.

21-013571 1417 Mack Smith Road / Suspicious Person / AOA:

Chelson Goodwin was taken into custody at this location in reference to felony extraditable warrants through Morgan County, Alabama. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail with no issue.

21-013581 1410 Mack Smith Road / Budgetel / Disorder / Arrest:

A male subject was arrested at this location following destroying and flooding his room. When police attempted to make contact with him, he was holding a knife to his throat. Once detained, he both resisted and assaulted officers on the scene. He was arrested for Vandalism, Resisting Arrest, and Assault on police. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment and then to the Hamilton County Jail.

September 19 – Day Shift

21-013589- 3100 blk of Ringgold Road (Tunnels)- Unconscious Person-

Police were dispatched on an unconscious male in a vehicle at the opening of the west bound tunnel. On scene police spoke with the male and identified him. He was suffering from an unknown medical event. EMS responded and transported him to Parkridge Main. Cannons towed the vehicle.

21-013594- 941 Spring Creek Road (Parkridge East)- Disorder Prevention-

Hospital security called to advise a Torez Bowling was possibly en route to the hospital to cause a disorder with his child’s mother in labor and delivery. Bowling was found to have multiple felony warrants through sessions court.

September 19 – Night Shift

700 S Germantown / Evading Arrest:

Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on an orange motorcycle at this location for no registration and excessive speed. The motorcycle chose to flee from police, police turned off emergency equipment and came to a complete stop allowing it to flee from officers safely.

21-013611/ 5400 block Sunny Dell Lane/ Simple Possession:

Lention Edward Jackson was issued a misdemeanor citation for simple possession.
