September 2 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along” reports provided by the administration.

August 31 Day Shift

623 Camp Jordan Pkwy (Disorder/Criminal Trespass)(22-012170):

Police responded to the Hampton Inn after hotel staff called to report two females, a male and their children were swimming in the pool and were not guests of the establishment. Police spoke with the parties, one who claimed that his mother was supposed to be a registered guest of the hotel but had not checked in yet. The hotel staff advised the party had not checked-in and there has been issues with the subjects in the past and requested for them to be trespassed. All parties understood the trespass warning and left the property.

1410 Mack Smith Rd (Theft)(22-012166):

The manager reported the theft of a television by a former employee. The complainant advised a recently terminated employee moved out of his room today and upon staff cleaning it found the television was missing. The complainant requested to prosecute for the theft.

5707 Ringgold Rd (Theft 22-012171):

Dollar General had several handles from hand carts taken. The carts are left outside and unsecured. Seven sets of handles were taken between 08/20/22 22:00 and 8/31/22 by unknown suspects. The handles were valued at $175 each.

500 block Wando Dr (Check the Well-being 22-012167):

The landlord of this property requested a well-being check on a tenant after he and several of her family members were not able to make contact with her. Police arrived on scene and spoke with the resident, who advised she had misplaced her cell phone and was unable to make phone calls. Police located the party’s phone and advised the landlord of her situation.

Night Shift

201 Eads Street (Disorder Prevention):

Police stood by while a former employee gathered his belongings after being terminated. The man and a female companion were both given a notice of Criminal Trespass. (22-012176)

3700 block Mary Anna Drive (Missing Juvenile):

Sequatchie County recovered a missing juvenile out of East Ridge. The juvenile was transported to JDU by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. East Ridge Police were able to lay eyes on the juvenile and remove her from NCIC while Hamilton County deputy met with DCS to take custody of the juvenile. (22-012040)
