Twice named All-State in Football; Twice named “All-City” in Football; Featured in Letterman Magazine as a “Top 20 College Football Prospect” nationally; Named an Associated Press “High School Football All-American”; Named ERHS’ “Most Valuable Back” and “Most Improved Back”; Member of East Ridge National Championship Team Handball squad; Scholarship Football player at Tennessee Tech, but had a career-ending injury after 1 season.

 Ernie Brown – Class of 1966 – Wrestling, Football, Track 

TSSAA State Champion Wrestler; Named “Rye Bell” Award winner for Wrestling; Football Co-Captain; FCA “Christian Athlete of the Year”; Named “Most Desire” for ERHS Football; Coached Football and Wrestling for 2 years at ERHS. 

 Karen Tate Fauer – Class of 1985 – Volleyball, Softball, Basketball 

3 Sport Standout at ERHS; Scholarship Volleyball Athlete at University of Tennessee-Chattanooga; 1989 UTC Volleyball Team Captain; 1989 All-Tournament for the Southern Conference; Broke UTC’s Single Season Record for Volleyball Assists; Member of the 1987 Southern Conference Volleyball Champions.

Bridges Sportsmanship Award; Led Ooltewah High to the 2008 Softball State Championship; Was Assistant Coach for 6 High School State Championship Teams at Ooltewah and Gordon Lee.
