For the past 12 years, it has been my privilege to serve the citizens of East Ridge as your City Court Clerk. As I ask for your support for another term, I believe the best way to earn your vote is not by making promises, but by sharing the record of what we have accomplished together.
The City Court Clerk is entrusted with protecting court records, managing public funds, supporting the judicial process, and serving the public with professionalism and integrity. It is a position where experience, accountability, and sound judgment matter every day.
Throughout my time in office, I have approached every challenge with one simple philosophy: when there was a challenge, I found a solution.
When our court needed to improve communication and efficiency, I integrated our system with the Hamilton County court system.
When residents needed a practical way to meet their court obligations and get back to work, I implemented payment plans that have helped many regain their driving privileges while remaining accountable to the court.
When I saw opportunities to strengthen financial stewardship, our office collected more than $1.26 million in court fines and costs over the past three years. To build on that success, I implemented a professional collection agency to pursue long-outstanding delinquent accounts at no cost to the city.
When courtroom operations needed to adapt, I reintroduced WebEx appearances to improve courtroom security and efficiency.
When it became clear our records needed to be modernized, I initiated the transition to searchable digital court records to preserve important documents and provide faster service to the public.
These accomplishments reflect my belief that government should never stop looking for better ways to serve its citizens. My goal has always been to leave this office stronger than I found it.
With more than 35 years in the legal profession, 12 years as your elected City Court Clerk, and more than 25 years as an East Ridge resident, I understand both the responsibilities of this office and the community it serves.
The true measure of public service isn’t found in campaign promises _ it’s found in the trust you earn and the results you deliver.
Experience isn’t about holding a title _ it’s about earning the trust of your community through proven results.
I hope I have earned that trust, and I would be honored to continue serving as your East Ridge City Court Clerk.
