The Chattanooga Police Department has made an arrest in the June 26, 2026 shooting on Highway 153.

Jeffrey Brooks (DOB: 02/14/1980) was charged with  Attempted First Degree Murder x2, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony, Felony Reckless Endangerment, and Tampering With or Fabricating Evidence.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center.
