Chattanooga FC Gear up for Playoffs

July 10, 2018 By Dick Cook and Contributed Article Leave a Comment

Hot on the heels of its seventh regular season championship in ten seasons, Chattanooga FC takes to the pitch this afternoon in preparation for its playoff campaign.

“This team has all the makings of a deep run in the playoffs,” said Bill Elliott, head coach of Chattanooga FC. “We have a great mix of veterans and youth. We’ll need every bit of that because this is the most competitive the conference has been, maybe ever.”

The lads ended the season tying Atlanta Silverbacks 1-1 in a makeup game from a previously cancelled match due to rain.  CFC secured the top spot in the conference just days before, and the team used this past match as an opportunity to get some young players some key minutes.

“It was great getting some of our young guys in there, and they played really well,” said Sean McDaniel, GM of Chattanooga FC. “We’re looking forward to Thursday and would love for everyone to come out and support us.”
