The Fraternal Order of Police Rock City Lodge 22 is officially endorsing Vince Dean in the race for Criminal Court Clerk. Dean is being challenged in the May 5th primary election, as well as in the August 6th general election. A statement released by the Lodge stated, “The Fraternal Order of Police Rock City Lodge is proud to endorse Vince Dean for Criminal Court Clerk. Vince Dean served the City of Chattanooga as a police oicer, and continues to serve Hamilton County as Criminal Court Clerk.
“Vince Dean is a proven leader who prioritizes effective operations of the Hamilton County Court System,” said Chris Mullinix, President of the Lodge.
“It is an honor to be endorsed by the men and women who utilize the services of our office on a daily basis.” Dean said of the endorsement. “They understand the advancements that we have made in the office, as well as our effectiveness.”
Dean has held this office since 2014, when he defeated a 20 year incumbent. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the County Officials Association of Tennessee and the Tennessee Court Clerks Association. Prior to winning this office, Dean served in the Tennessee General Assembly and on the City Council in the City of East Ridge and as Mayor of East Ridge.
Dean and his wife Debbie have two daughters, one grand-daughter and another one expected in September.
