Howard High School Student Arrested After Assaulting Deputy

September 11, 2025 By Contributed Article Leave a Comment

On September 11, at approximately 10:30 am, a School Resource Deputy at Howard High School was notified of 18-year-old student Quanderius Dillard attempting to re-enter the school through a side door after he had experienced earlier behavioral issues and left the school property voluntarily.

When the deputy approached, it was found Dillard had ran to another entrance in an attempt to gain entry. After being ordered to stop, Dillard assaulted the SRD and was taken into custody. While being escorted, he shouted multiple threats to “shoot up the school.”

Dillard is being charged with Assault on a First Responder, and Threat of Mass Violence.
