The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift April 16: B Squad

26-003459 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – A resident of Florida was trespassed from the hotel properties after staff observed her incorrectly parked in a parking stall. According to the staff, when they asked about her reasons for being on the property, she became agitated and abrasive toward them and refused to provide any information or leave the property. Police attempted to confer the staff’s possible intentions; however, she continued her abrasive demeanor. The subject’s information was verified, and she was sent on her way after being issued a trespass warning.

26-003465 – 1400 BLK Melody Lane – Miscellaneous Complaint – The resident reported receiving suspicious mail addressed to him and his father. The mail was determined to be “junk” mail, and he was advised to place it in the trash.

Night Shift April 16: D Squad

26-003474- 1000 BLK Lansdell Road- Check Well Being – Police responded to this address after a concerned neighbor stated that a female was passed out on the front porch and the house smelled of marijuana. Officers contacted the female party, who was fine and was only smoking a cigarette on the front porch.

26-003475- 6700 BLK Ringgold Road- Disorder – Police were called after three females entered the drive-through and began yelling at workers. They then went to the inside of the restaurant and began causing a disorder. ERPD arrived as the ladies had finally received their food. They were advised that the business no longer wanted them to come back and sent them on their way. One returned after being instructed not to and was temporally detained until a family member came and got her.

26-003480 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Intoxicated Person / Arrest – Police were called about a possibly intoxicated male screaming at individuals and making threats. The man was located on the sidewalk along Ringgold Road carrying an open container of alcohol. He was taken into custody for public intoxication and was found to have a large knife and throwing stars in his backpack.

26-003482 – 3600 BLK Monte Vista Drive – Back up other agency – Chattanooga PD requested ERPD to the above address to help with perimeter management. A kidnapping suspect had barricaded himself inside the structure. Once other Chattanooga SWAT officers arrived on scene they relieved ERPD. Chattanooga PD located the suspect and placed him into custody.

26-003483 – 900 BLK South Crest – Civil Matter – A party called in to report that he gave his brother a $150 monitor two months ago but had not received payment. The pair argued and the caller now wished to report the item as stolen. ERPD informed the caller that, due to him giving the monitor to his brother with an expectation of delayed payment, the matter was civil. He asked for ERPD to go to the residence and ask if the brother will give it back, so he doesn’t have to sue him. The subject will call back when his brother is home and awake.
