Day Shift April 24: B Squad

26-003721 -5800 BLK Ringgold Road– Burglary – Police responded to the listed address after the owner arrived to find a rear entry glass door shattered. Inside several doors were breached, a few items were relocated, and a bookbag was emptied onto the floor of one of the rooms with a 9mm firearm missing. The owner of the firearm is attempting to locate a serial number so it can be placed into NCIC as stolen. At this time no leads have been identified.

26-003723-800 BLK South Seminole Drive- Theft from a vehicle – The victim advised her car had been entered at some point during the night/ early morning and her backpack containing a stethoscope was stolen. She advised a jar of change had also been taken from her vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

26-003726- 6700 BLK Ringgold Road- Disorder – Parties became involved in a verbal dispute regarding entry into a business due to Friday being restock day. Several parties had been lined up since approximately 5:00 a.m., and additional individuals arrived later and attempted to cut in line, causing the disorder.

26-003730- 5300 BLK Ringgold Road- Traffic Stop/ Arrest – Following a traffic stop, a woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Walker County Georgia for identity fraud and a valid probation violation warrant out of Catoosa County. She was transported to Hamilton County Jail.

Night Shift April 24: D Squad

26-003756 – 400 BLK Alice Drive – Check well-being – ERPD was asked to check on a woman because she had broken up with her boyfriend and had found a tracking device on her car a few days ago. The friend stated he hadn’t heard from the resident in a few hours and believed her phone was dead. ERPD was able to establish contact. Patrol advised her to make a report with Chattanooga about the incident and gave her instructions on how to get an Order of Protection.

Day Shift April 25: B Squad

26-003773 – 100 BLK Ridgeside Road – Suspicious Activity – A concerned resident reported two parties, one in a gray sweatsuit and one in a white t-shirt and black pants, walking the neighborhood and going door to door. ERPD located the parties and found they were attempting to collect money for their basketball team, the “423 Ducks;” however, they did not have any documents advising such and were simply presenting a barcode for people to scan on their cell phone for donations to be made. Officers suggested that they would need to present paperwork for their organization before soliciting funds.

Night Shift April 25: D Squad

26-003786- 400 BLK Camp Jordon Parkway- Traffic stop/ Arrest – A traffic stop was conducted after a vehicle continued into a crosswalk as members of the running event in Camp Jordon were attempting to cross the roadway. Police contacted the driver who had a Suspended Driver’s License due to a DUI. He was placed in custody for driving on a Revoked Driver’s License and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

26-003787-400 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway-MVC No injuries/DUI Arrest – Police responded to reports of a possible hit-and-run. Upon arrival, patrol spoke with management and multiple witnesses who stated that a gray Volkswagen Jetta had reversed into a Land Rover and fled the scene. Police later located the suspect’s vehicle in the parking lot of a nearby business. Attempts to locate the driver were unsuccessful at that time. Later in the night, police observed the same Volkswagen Jetta leaving the parking space where it had been previously located. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle. Following an investigation, the driver was charged with driving under the influence. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

26-003791- 400 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway- Delayed Assault – Police were called after a man was assaulted by his estranged daughter. It was alleged that she struck him in the face with a beer bottle before she was removed from the bar. Police were unable to locate identification for the female, and the business stated they would have access to camera footage on Monday.

Day Shift April 26: B Squad

26-003792-6500 BLK Ringgold Road-Suspicious Vehicle/Arrest – Staff reported that a black Mustang had been sitting at the pumps since 0230. Police spoke with the driver who stated that he had left from his girlfriend’s address in Georgia following a bad breakup and didn’t know where else to go. He was found to have a valid arrest warrant out of general sessions court for driving on a revoked license. He was taken into custody and transported to jail without issue.

26-003793- 6600 BLK Ringgold Rd- Suspicious vehicle – While on routine patrol police observed an idling black Lexus parked behind the hotel. Officers observed two occupants sleeping in the vehicle. Dispatch advised one had a weapons law violation from February of this year. Police observed the odor of marijuana and conducted a probable cause search for the vehicle. ERPD found less than a gram of marijuana. The driver was advised to stop smoking in his car and sent on his way.

26-003795 – 1500 BLK Tombras Avenue – Suspicious Activity – A concerned citizen reported a male and a female wearing all black and driving an older model, dark-colored Chrysler 300 were approaching people and asking if they wanted to purchase narcotics. Police arrived on scene but did not observe the subjects approach anyone for solicitation.

26-003796- 4000 BLK Patton Drive- Arrest/Warrant Service – ERPD attempted to serve a woman two outstanding Catoosa County warrants for felony theft by the taking. While attempting to take her into custody, she attempted to Facebook video call the Catoosa County Sheriff to debate the charges. She was transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.

26-003806 – Ringgold Road at McBrien Road- Vandalism – The caller reported that, while stopped at a red light at the above location, a white Chevrolet pickup truck pulled alongside her vehicle. An occupant on the passenger side opened the door, striking the side of her vehicle. A witness remained on scene and corroborated the account. The witness obtained a Georgia license plate number. Attempts will be made to contact the registered owner/driver of the Chevrolet pickup.

Night Shift April 26: D Squad

26-003811 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road- Shoplifting/Criminal Impersonation/Warrant Service – Police contacted a male who was identified after management advised he was caught eating food within the store, which he had yet to purchase. When the suspect was approached by management, he left all his items and left the store. Officers contacted him by the exit to issue a criminal trespass. After being given ample opportunity to provide legitimate identification, the male, later correctly identified, was detained and found to have three warrants out of Hamilton County. A warrant is pending for criminal impersonation, and charges are pending for shoplifting.

26-003815 – 700 BLK Belvoir Avenue – Traffic Stop / Arrest – A Black Ford Explorer was observed to fail to maintain its lane in the 700 block of Belvoir Avenue. During a traffic stop a Smirnoff Ice bottle was observed in the cup holder. The driver was instructed to step out of the vehicle. ERPD asked the driver if she would submit to the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, and she stated that she would. The driver was arrested for DUI (2nd), Driving on Revoked for DUI, Open Container, and Failure to Maintain Lane.

Day Shift April 27: A Squad

26-003828 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – Loss prevention stated that a man, previously arrested for theft at the store, was observed on closed-circuit television (CCTV) concealing approximately $99 worth of ribs in his pants. It was also found that the suspect had previously been trespassed from all the business’ locations due to prior thefts and wished to pursue charges. Police are seeking burglary charges against in connection with this incident.

26-003831 – 2000 BLK Lee Street – Mental Health – Police were requested by the Chattanooga Police Department to check the area of 2000 Lee Street regarding a report of a man that may have been threatening self-harm. Officers contacted him along Ringgold Road. He stated that he was in crisis and declined all options offered to him. He said he only wished to walk to get an ice cream.

26-003822 – 941 Spring Creek Road – Check Wellbeing – An anonymous caller reported that an unconscious male with blood on his shirt was sitting in his vehicle in the hospital parking lot. On scene, officers met with the man who had visible, bloody injuries to his head. He advised an assault occurred between him and his girlfriend at their residence in Georgia, but he was unwilling to cooperate for a report. Catoosa County was requested to conduct a wellbeing check on the girlfriend.

26-003838 – 5300 BLK Greenbriar Road – Domestic Assault – The caller told police her boyfriend stomped on her head multiple times during an argument before leaving the house. EMS responded to the scene, but she declined transport and declined to cooperate in prosecution.

Night Shift April 27: C Squad

26-003842 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Motor Vehicle Crash with Injuries – Police, Fire Department, and EMS units responded to a three-vehicle crash with injuries. Hamilton County EMS transported two adults and one child to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

26-003845 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft of Property – The caller stated several items were removed from his shopping cart in the parking lot. He elaborated that after checkout, he walked toward his vehicle and observed a motor vehicle crash on Ringgold Road. He went to assist an injured driver and left his shopping cart by his car. When he returned, he discovered several items were missing. Police will follow up with the to obtain video footage of the theft and work to identify the suspect.

26-003849 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – While in custody at Hamilton County Jail, a subject was served with an arrest warrant through the City of East Ridge. The original charge on the warrant was Unlawful Photography.

26-003855 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Narcotics Arrest – ERPD conducted a traffic stop with a white Ford Mustang due to a light law violation. The driver was identified and gave officers permission to search her vehicle. While searching the vehicle, police located a white powdery substance resembling fentanyl inside her purse. The woman was placed in custody and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl).

26-003858 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police conducted a traffic stop with a blue truck traveling on Ringgold Road with no taillights activated. Officers observed several clues that led them to believe the suspect was driving while impaired. In addition, the man was unable to follow the instructions for Standardized Field Sobriety Test. The driver was placed in custody for the charge of Driving Under the Influence and transported to Hamilton County jail without incident.
