Day Shift August 13: A Squad
26-007746 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Warrant Service – A vehicle was observed traveling with expired registration. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver was found to have an active Sessions warrant for theft. He was taken into custody and was transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
26-007731- 1600 BLK Prigmore- Vehicle Burglary – The vehicle owner left her pink and black Stoeger STR-9 9mm in her vehicle last night and forgot to lock her vehicle. She stated this occurred between 0000 and 0600 on this date. Currently the suspect is unknown. The firearm was entered into NCIC as stolen.
26–007744 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road- Theft = Police took report from that an unknown male and female shoplifted approximately 40 magazines worth $10-$15 each. Patrol will continue to investigate.
26-007751 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road– Mental Health – A resident had an outburst at his group home off McDonald Road, during which he broke glass and sustained cuts to his hands. He left the group home following the incident and made his way to a business, where police were dispatched. The group home manager arrived on scene and requested EMS transport to the hospital for evaluation and treatment of his injuries.
Night Shift August 13: C Squad
26-007768 – 1400 BLK Saint Thomas Street – Suspicious Activity – Police were dispatched to motel for a guest reporting that a male approached her vehicle window and offered to sell her cocaine. The RP waited over 30 minutes to report the incident, stating she went to the store to purchase cigarettes first. The RP was unable to provide directions of travel or the tag number of the suspect vehicle.
26-007763 – 300 BLK Cedar Glen Circle – Residential Fire – Police were dispatched to the above address for a kitchen fire. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the homeowner, who stated all family members were outside and safe. The homeowner stated he poured water on a grease fire and burned his foot in the process. EMS evaluated injuries, but the party declined transport. The fire department took over the scene.
26-007759 – 800 BLK State Line Road – Wreck/Property Damage – Officers responded to this location initially for a wires down, which was then changed to a report that a vehicle had crashed through a pole. ERPD determined that the driver had traveled through a power pole at approximately 60 mph, splitting the pole in half, leaving half of it suspended in the air by power lines and setting another pole on fire. No injuries were reported and Officers stood by while EPB assessed the damage and checked the lines before removing them from the vehicle. The driver was cited accordingly.
