Day Shift August 18: A Squad
26-007916 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – SIA / Arrest – Police were flagged down by a concerned citizen regarding a possible intoxicated driver at the fuel station. Police made contact with the driver and his passenger, who both appeared nervous. Officers were informed that there was methamphetamine inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and police located 1.8g of methamphetamine, .9g of fentanyl, and a hoard of paraphernalia including scales with residue, burned straws, multiple small baggies with narcotics residue, and multiple unused small baggies typical with resale or delivery of narcotics. Both parties were taken into custody for Possession of Methamphetamine for Resale, Possession of Fentanyl for Resale, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, with additional charges for Driving on Suspended and Financial Responsibility.
26-007919 – 1600 BLK Truman Avenue – Warrant Service/Assist Other Agency – ERPD received a tip that a wanted subject was at the above address and had active warrants out of Chattanooga Police Department for Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm With Intent to go Armed. Police confirmed the warrants through dispatch and attempted to contact at the residence. A male came to the door and was recognized as the wanted fugitive but refused to come outside. After a brief barricaded situation in which members of ERPD’s Hostage Negotiation Team, SWAT Team, K9 Handler, and Patrol took various positions and coordinated efforts, HNT was able to talk the man into exiting the residence. Officers took him into custody without incident, and he was taken to Hamilton County Jail.
26-007931 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Unknown 911 – A female called 911 and yelled “Super 8” then hung up. Police checked the area and did not locate any signs of distress. Police also spoke with a few people outside the hotel who stated they had not heard anything out of the ordinary.
Night Shift August 18: C Squad
26-007944 – 3500 BLK Mimbro Lane – Domestic Disorder – ERPD responded to a domestic disorder between a couple who were going through a breakup. Units responded earlier in the shift, when one stated the other was wanting to damage personal property. The male later called in stating the female assaulted him prior to leaving the residence. No injuries were observed by officers and the man continued to change his statements. Police could not confirm a Domestic Assault occurred and no charges are being. A report was completed for documentation purposes.
26-007946 – 4400 BLK Louise Avenue – Suspicious Activity – The RP called to report while sitting in her living room, her alarm showed a fault, and that the front door was open. The RP was adamant the front door had been locked and could not be opened. Officers checked the perimeter of the residence and found no signs of disturbance.
26-007948 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a subject was served with five Theft of property arrest warrants through the City of East Ridge.
