Home Invasion Reported on Dugan Street

Day Shift August 25: B Squad
26-008168- 1000 BLK South Seminole Drive- Miscellaneous – Due to residents at both addresses removing the electrical boxes and the properties not having running water, East Ridge codes responded and advised all residents that they were no longer permitted to reside or stay overnight on the properties. EPB also responded and disconnected power to both properties.
26-008171- 3600 BLK Ringgold Road- Back EMS – Police responded to assist EMS with a party lying in the grass who stated he had used fentanyl but believed he may have taken acid. EMS transported the party for further evaluation.
Night Shift August 25: D Squad
26-008176 – 2100 BLK Dugan Street – Home Invasion – ERPD Officers responded to the address above for a burglary in progress that was upgraded to a home invasion while officers were on route. ERPD was advised that the female was not safe. Officers noticed forced entry into the residence, kicked the door in, and quickly took the offender into custody. The female resident and her juvenile son did not sustain any injuries. He was interviewed by the arresting officer before being transported to Hamilton County Detention Facility.
26-008186 – 900 BLK Belvoir Avenue – GPS/Ankle Monitor – ERPD received a call regarding an individual whose ankle monitor had died and wished a check to ensure they were at the residence. The officer made visual contact with the individual, who was found asleep. The monitor’s battery had died resulting in an alert.
