Day Shift August 28: B Squad
26-008280- 5700 BLK Ringgold Road- Aggravated Animal Cruelty – Two people were arrested for aggravated cruelty to animals and animal abandonment after a tip from social media to the East Ridge Animal Services led to the discovery of their dog tied to a light post at the above-mentioned address. The dog, Blue, was located after being tied for 20 minutes toward the back of the lot with no shade, no water, and no food.
26-008281 – 3800 BLK Fountain Ave – Wellbeing Check – A concerned citizen reported a male with a blue shirt walking down Fountain Avenue. The caller had prior knowledge of police interaction with this male, who had been found disoriented the previous day. Police contacted the male who stated he was walking to his home. He was walking the opposite direction of his house and when questioned did not know which way to go. Patrol gave him a courtesy ride back to his home and spoke with his son. An APS report was filed.
26-008294- 1600 BLK South Rugby Place- Suspicious Package – Police responded with ERFD to a residence where individuals conducting an estate sale located what they believed to be 1940 era railroad flares. ERFD took possession of the items for proper disposal.
Night Shift August 28: C Squad
26-008302- 601 Justice Way- Warrant Service – ERPD served a man on an East Ridge warrant while at the jail. The warrant was for failure to appear in court on a burglary charge.
26-008306 – 5500 BLK Ringgold Road – Domestic Assault/ Arrest – Officers initially responded to the area of the above address in reference to a rolling domestic assault. Officers contacted the vehicle on Biltmore Avenue in Chattanooga, where they encountered a man and woman. The female stated her husband struck her in the face, causing visible injury to her face. The male suspect was taken into custody for Domestic Assault and transported to Hamilton County Jail for booking.
26-008309 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Drug Arrest – Officers were called by an off-duty officer working an extra job. The officer explained that the hospital staff discovered that a patient suffering from drug-induced psychosis had smuggled methamphetamine into the hospital. A doctor released the patient after clearing her to be incarcerated. A CSU investigator took the woman into custody, and she was transported to HCSO Jail without further incident.
26-008312- 900 BLK Donaldson Road- Traffic stop/Arrest – Following a traffic stop at the above location, officers located 39.3 grams of marijuana and 1.7 grams of methamphetamine. The male driver was found to have a suspended license. He was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent, simple possession, and driving with a suspended license. He was transported to Hamilton County Jail.
26-008313-1300 BLK McBrien Road-MVC No Injuries/ DUI Arrest – Police responded to the address listed above and found a black Kia Optima in a ditch. Following an investigation, a woman was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. She was transported to Hamilton County Jail without any issues.
26-008317-4214 Ringgold Road-Warrant Service – While in custody at Hamilton County Jail, a man was served with an outstanding Forfeiture Capias warrant. The original charge was Public Intoxication.
