Day Shift December 3 : A Squad
25-012531 – 1500 BLK Fruitland Drive – Miscellaneous Complaint – Several residents on Fruitland Drive collaboratively requested police due to an aggressive dog. The residents advised that they contacted Animal Services, but nothing was done, and they wished to file a complaint. Officers directed them to the police station. It was found that a previous complaint on the animal had been heard at AHO, via a citation by animal services, and that there was a standing order requiring compliance by April 2025.
Night Shift December 3: D Squad
25-012540 – 6000 BLK Ringgold Road – Civil Matter – A man contacted Police concerning a Chevrolet C4500 Rollback at this location. He stated a business contracted several mechanical repairs through him but did not pay the final bill. He obtained a mechanic’s lien on the vehicle. He will contact ERPD prior to attempting to recover the vehicle due to prior issues at the location.
25-012549 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Assist Other Agency – During a traffic stop, Police determined the vehicle driver had an active felony warrant through Walker County, GA. The charge on the warrant was Criminal Property Damage. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail where he will await extradition to the Walker County.
25-012550 – 10 BLK Franklin Place – Domestic Disorder – A neighbor reported the residents of this address had been arguing for several hours. Police Officers responded to the location and spoke with an adult male and adult female in the residence. After speaking with everyone, police determined the adult female had just returned home from work and the couple had exchanged only a few words outside the house. Police found no evidence of an assault or any other crime.
25-012553 – 5400 BLK Oakdale Avenue – Found Property – The caller reported a 30-pound bag of used copper wire was found on his front porch. He did not know who left the bag and waited several hours for someone to claim it. Police officers responded to the location and secured the property. Officers were unable to determine the source of the copper wire. and it was placed in the ERPD Property Room.
25-012554 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Hold – The Dade County Sherrif’s Office detained a woman and found she had an active warrant through East Ridge for Possession of a Controlled Substance. During the transport process, Dade County Deputies developed original charges and booked her at their jail. A hold was placed pending a disposition on her new GA charges.
Day Shift December 4 : B Squad
25-012563 – 6519 Ringgold Road – Disorder – Police were dispatched to the motel regarding an intoxicated male who was refusing to leave his room. Officers attempted to speak with the man, but he was unable to stand without assistance, put on his jacket, or coherently answer basic questions. Officers determined that he was too intoxicated to remain alone or safely leave the property. EMS personnel concluded that he required transport for medical treatment.
Night Shift December 4: D Squad
25-012584 / 25-012590 – 3900 BLK Ringgold Road – Deceptive Practice – An elderly female reported losing $50,000 to fraud over a two-day period. The woman stated her computer was infected with malware after opening a suspicious email. She contacted the number provided in the computer alert. A man claiming to be a Microsoft representative told her to deposit $10,000 through a BitCoin ATM to resolve the issue. The following day, the suspect directed her to deposit an additional $40,000 to ensure everything was resolved with the computer accounts. The woman later realized the incident was a scam and contacted Police.
CPD 25-106093 – 8000 BLK Volkswagen Drive, Chattanooga – Missing and Endangered Adult – Law enforcement agencies throughout Hamilton County were notified of a missing male with a possible medical emergency. Police officers determined that subject left work after his shift in Chattanooga and planned to stop by a gym in Catoosa County. The subject did not arrive at his gym and would not answer his phone. Due to the proximity of the subject’s home in Georgia, East Ridge police assisted in the investigation. Based on the circumstances, a phone locate was initiated, and the Georgia State Patrol was able to locate the man at a gas station in Whitfield County. The subject was in an altered mental state and was taken to a local hospital by EMS for further treatment.
