Day Shift July 9: B Squad
Officers conducted speed reduction operations on South Moore Road at the request of a concerned resident. Multiple stops were conducted and citations were issued.
26-006476-100 BLK Cecil Lane- Mental Health – he subject’s family requested a welfare check due to concerns about his mental state and well-being. Officers contacted the man who presented as irate and hostile toward police; however, he did not meet the criteria for involuntary commitment and denied any suicidal or homicidal ideations. No immediate concerns for his safety were identified.
Night Shift July 9: D Squad
26-006477 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Scam/ Fraud – A resident reported at the Eastridge Police Department that he has been scammed. He stated that he has received deceptive phone calls from an unknown party identifying themselves as different government agencies. They convinced him to pay fees to “reclaim his and his wife’s personal identification documents.” A report was filed.
26-006480 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Traffic stop/ Narcotics Arrest – An ERPD officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was displaying evasive maneuvers. The officer had reasonable suspicion of the occupants having illegal narcotics inside the vehicle. ERPD’s K9 alerted on the vehicle. Officers conducted a search, finding fentanyl and methamphetamine. A male suspect was taken into custody and transported without incident.
26-006487 – 1500 BLK McDonald Road – Check Hazard – Police were notified that a utility pole had been struck by a white Chevrolet truck in front of the above address. On scene, officers observed the utility pole hanging by wires and blocking a driveway, as well as the headlight assembly of the truck in the yard. AT&T was contacted about the pole, and officers searched the area for the truck but did not locate a suspect.
26-006488 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Burglar Alarm – Officers responded to a motion-activated alarm in the drive-through and dining area. On scene, officers located an unsecured exterior door on the rear of the kitchen. Officers cleared the building and found it to be unoccupied. The party responsible was notified and stated that he was not concerned about the unsecured door.
