Day Shift July 10: A Squad
26-006495 – 5300 BLK Connell Street – Domestic Assault / Warrant Service – Police responded to this location after a third party called in to report that a woman had been assaulted. Upon arrival, police contacted the victim who appeared to have multiple injuries. During the investigation, it was determined that the allegation of domestic assault appeared true. It was later determined that the suspect was inside of the residence and did not come to the door. Police obtained a warrant and surrounded the house. A “surround and callout” was performed and the suspect eventually exited the residence and was taken into custody for Domestic Assault and other pending charges.
26-006494- 400 BLK Donaldson Road- Suspicious Person – Police responded to this location regarding and alleged squatter. On scene police spoke with the male and he advised he wasn’t squatting. The male advised he had come to the residence to paint the interior of the home for prospective tenants.
26-006497- 3200 BLK Ringgold Road- Lost Property – The caller reported his black Smith and Wesson .45 ACP handgun was last seen in the glove box of his vehicle at the car wash. No other parties have access to the vehicle except his wife which stated she did not move it. The man could not provide a serial number for the firearm at the time of this report. A lost property report was generated due to no proof of theft at this time.
Night Shift July 10: C Squad
26-006519 – I-75 Southbound, MM 1.0 – Assist Other Agency – East Ridge officers were notified of vehicle pursuit involving Hamilton County Deputies and a stolen Ford F-150. The stolen vehicle was located in Chattanooga and Deputies caught up to it on the interstate near the I-75 and I-24 split. East Ridge Police Officers set-up along exits and main roads to assist the Deputies and possibly spike the vehicle tires. The stolen vehicle continued south on I-75 into Georgia. Hamilton County and Catoosa County Deputies eventually stopped the vehicle in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, and with the assistance of agencies, apprehended the driver. Reference HSCO 26-028211.
26-006535 – 3400 BLK Lisa Drive – Suspicious Activity – An anonymous resident reported that a male with a gun was at the end of a cul-de-sac with six other males. The reporting party stated the suspect looked angry and was unclear what was about to happen. Police responded to the location and located the group. Patrol found there was no disorder and the firearm was a BB gun that was being shot into a nearby earth bank. One of the individuals lived at a home next to the cul-de-sac and the group agreed to go to his house.
26-006538 – 700 BLK Bacon Trail– Suspicious Activity – The resident reported an unknown person was attempting to break into her home through the back porch. Police responded to the location and determined that the “suspect” was a reflection of clothing hanging on the porch. The resident requested assistance in moving the clothes to prevent another incident.
Day Shift July 11: A Squad
26-006553 – 4100 BLK East Ridge Drive- Warrant Service – Police executed a warrant service at the residence for domestic assault. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and transported to East Ridge PD. While in the holding cell at East Ridge PD, she complained of chest pains and was transported for evaluation prior to transportation to Hamilton County Jail.
Night Shift July 11: C Squad
26-006553 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Warrant Service – A subject was placed in custody after she was medically cleared from the Hospital Emergency Room. She had two warrants for Domestic Assault through the City of East Ridge. She was transported to Hamilton Jail without incident.
26-006565 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a suspect was served with a Petition to Revoke arrest warrant through the City of East Ridge. The original charge for the warrant was Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Day Shift July 12: A Squad
26-006583 – 700 BLK Frawley Road – Auto Theft – The victim called dispatch to report that his 2015 Chevy Impala was stolen during the night. Officers were unable to contact him for the report.
Night Shift July 12: C Squad
6-006601 – 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road – Suspicious Person – While on Patrol, officers observed a red Honda Pilot parked in the back lot of a shopping center. A female was located inside the vehicle and was identified. Officers determined that the woman was homeless and was living in the vehicle. Due to several indicators, it was believed there were illegal narcotics in the vehicle and a K9 was requested. A K9 team from the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department responded to the location and the K9 alerted to the odor of illegal narcotics. A probable cause search of the vehicle yielded no contraband; however, the woman admitted there had been drugs and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle earlier. Upon completion of a field interview, the woman was released from the scene.
26-006604 – 1500 BLK Karwill Lane – Disorder – Multiple individuals called the 911 Dispatch Center and reported an assault at this location. Police spoke with several individuals and observed videos taken during the incident. Several reported they were involved in a fight; however, there was no evidence found that anyone was assaulted. Due to conflicting stories and lack of evidence, no one was charged for the incident. After clearing the scene, Police returned to the same location for a verbal argument involving the same parties. Police directed everyone to stay away from each other for the rest of the evening.
26-006612 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Well Being Check – A passerby reported seeing a distressed driver moving slowly in their vehicle through Camp Jordan. Police located the vehicle and checked the driver. Patrol found the driver had lost their dog and was extremely upset. Police searched the area and assisted the driver in locating the dog.
26-006615 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – Police responded to the report of heavy smoke coming from behind the motel. Officers quickly located an individual who was grilling outside the building and found he had severely overcooked a group of hamburgers. No fire or other hazards were in the area.
Day Shift July 13: B Squad
East Ridge Police assisted the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Georgia Highway Patrol, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, and the Chattanooga Police Department in Operation Southern Slow Down.
26-006616- 800 BLK Yale Street- Auto Theft – Police responded to a report of an auto theft. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen.
26-006623- 5800 BLK Ringgold Road- Watchlist – A representative reported that church staff arrived Sunday morning and discovered blood smeared on the front of the building. The blood was cleaned prior to police notification. The church requested to be added to the watch list for extra patrol during overnight and early morning hours.
26-006630- 3600 BLK Elwood Lane- Warrant Service – A man was taken into custody on five outstanding East Ridge Warrants for theft or property. He was transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
26-006631- 1200 BLK San His Drive- Warrant Service – Police served a man with active warrants out of Hamilton County Sessions, Criminal Court, and East Ridge City Court. He initially refused to comply with officers’ commands to exit the residence but eventually came outside and was taken into custody.
26-006632- 4100 BLK East Ridge Drive- Arrest – A woman called police after she attempted to evict her roommate from the residence without an official eviction order. These actions were despite the caller’s recent assault arrest and guidance from officers regarding the proper avenues. She was ultimately arrested for violation of order of protection and unlawful possession of a firearm.
26-006633- 4214 Ringgold Road- Warrant Service – A woman was served on outstanding East Ridge Warrants for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Fentanyl.
Night Shift July 13: D Squad
26-006635 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – Lookout Mountain PD arrested a woman on an outstanding ERPD warrant for driving on a revoked, suspended, or canceled license. She was transported to Hamilton County Jail.
26-006643 – I24 WB – Traffic Stop/ Fugitive Arrest – An ERPD Officer was patrolling through the Welcome Center; upon exit, a vehicle made an improper lane change to get onto I-24 WB. The officer conducted a traffic stop and was able to identify all three occupants of the vehicle. The vehicle was a rental through an insurance company. Three occupants were from different states and had separate stories of where they were going and what they were doing. The occupants all stated that they were going to Kentucky, then Indiana. The occupants did not have enough luggage that would typically accommodate a trip that would take that amount of time. The officer searched the vehicle but did not locate anything substantial. One of the occupants had extraditable warrants out of North Carolina for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He had an extensive history of aggravated assault and was listed in NCIC to be armed and dangerous. The warrant was confirmed, and he was taken into custody.
26-006645 – 3500 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop/Field Interview – ERPD conducted a traffic stop on a blue Chevy S10 in the 3500 block of Ringgold Road. The officer made contact and immediately noticed that the driver was displaying signs of nervousness and was uncontrollably shaking. The driver stated there were no firearms inside the vehicle when asked. The officer conducted a search of the vehicle, finding a firearm under the passenger seat. Dispatch was unable to get returns due to technical issues with the system. The driver stated the firearm was not his and didn’t know where it came from. He has a history of several incidents involving firearms. CPD was notified but delayed the response. The subject was released with warnings and a field interview completed.
