Law and Order July 2

Day Shift July 1: A Squad

26-006129 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police observed a SUV traveling at a high rate of speed on Spring Creek Road. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver was determined to have a Revoked license for DUI. The subject was placed into custody for Driving on Revoked for DUI and was cited for speeding and window tint violation.

26-006124 -1500 BLK Waterhouse St. -Well-Being Check – Patrol responded to this location after a concerned citizen reported hearing a male screaming and yelling. Police contacted the man who said he was homeless but doing fine. He was checked for warrants and sent him on his way.

26-006144 -5400 BLK Weaver Street -Suspicious Person – Police were dispatched to this address regarding an unknown male entering the home. The residents explained they were sitting on the couch when a male walked into their den area. The male resident ushered the unknown guest out of the home through the back door. Police spoke with the subject on Weaver Street. He stated he received a text message from the female with the wrong address. When he arrived the home, the female stated for him to come in. Both residents understood it was a case of mistaken location.

Night Shift July 1: C Squad

26-006152 – 4400 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – A Patrol Officer observed an adult and two juveniles holding signs and approaching vehicles near the intersection. Police initially thought the group was panhandling. Upon further investigation, it was found the group was praying and protesting local housing issues. The officer explained the panhandling ordinance to the group and requested they not impede pedestrians from using the sidewalk.

26-006154 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a man was served a warrant through the City of East Ridge. The arrest warrant was for Violation of Protection Order related to original case number 26-003722.

26-006157 – 400 BLK McBrien Road – Disorder – Police Officers were dispatched to a local fireworks store for a disorderly customer. On scene, Police met with a manager who stated the customer was initially irate but eventually calmed down when management spoke with him. No further issues were observed

He was among reporters who were honored by the Associated Press for the TFP's coverage of the 2002 fog-shrouded crash on I-75 in Catoosa County, Dick and his wife, Cathy, live on Marlboro Avenue where they are seen frequently chasing around their three grandsons.
