Day Shift July 24: A Squad

26-006981 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Rd – Assist Other Agency / Arrest – Officers responded to this location following a brief investigation conducted by the Criminal Investigation Division, which revealed that known fugitive Charles Hice was on the premises. Officers located the suspect vehicle as it attempted to leave the parking lot and conducted a felony traffic stop. The occupants were removed from the vehicle and taken into custody without incident. Charles Hice was arrested on his outstanding felony warrant out of Alabama, and Jonathan Lecroy was arrested and charged with Accessory After the Fact for attempting to aid and conceal a known fugitive.

26-006983 – 400 BLK South Seminole Drive – Aggravated Burglary – The resident reported finding her front door open when she returned home. Officers observed broken glass on the side door, consistent with forced entry. After clearing the residence, the victim provided officers with video footage from her surveillance camera that showed an unknown male walking around the house shortly before her arrival. CID was notified and warrants will be sought pending identification of the suspect.

Night Shift July 24: C Squad

26-007008 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – While in custody at Hamilton County Jail, a party was served with a Petition to Revoke Probation arrest warrant through the City of East Ridge. The original charge for the warrant was Simple Possession of a Controlled Substance.

26-007010 – 6900 BLK Tiffany Lane – Assist Other Agency – A supervisor with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office requested support in locating a fugitive who had active warrants for Harassment. East Ridge Police Officers went to the last known address on Tiffany Lane. At the location, it was found that the subject had moved approximately two years ago and failed to update his address with the State of Tennessee.

Day Shift July 25: A Squad

26-007009 – 1 I-75 SB – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police conducted a traffic stop on a green Blazer that lacked a license plate and was failing to maintain lane. A consent search for the vehicle was completed and 4.6g of Methamphetamine and three glass pipes with residue were located. The driver was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia.

26-007018 – 3700 BLK Anderson Avenue – Domestic Assault – The caller reported that her juvenile son’s father strangled her during an argument over the child. He also tried forcibly removing the juvenile from her arms during the argument, leaving small marks on the child’s arm. The victim had marks on her neck to corroborate the allegations. Warrants will be sought for Domestic Assault (Aggravated) and Child Endangerment.

Night Shift July 25: C Squad

26-007029 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Assist Citizen – Two officers were flagged down by a female in the parking lot. The woman stated that she had been reported missing out of Murray County, GA. Police confirmed the missing person’s report and contacted the Murray County SO. The party appeared to be in good health and safe. Officers relayed that information to Murray County Dispatch, and she was removed from NCIC.

26-007039 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder / Arrest for Other Agency – A female initiated a verbal disorder with staff over a customer service issue. An officer working an off-duty job stopped the disorder. He also found the agitator had a warrant through Hamilton County Sessions Court. She was arrested and transported to Hamilton County Jail. She was also issued a criminal trespass warning.

26-007041 – 600 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Fight – Police responded to the report of a fight on the back patio. Patrol found the fight had ended but initially received conflicting stories on the sequence of events. Officers further investigated the incident and reviewed the restaurant’s security camera footage. Police then determined that three intoxicated friends began pushing each other for fun and the incident escalated into a fight. A fourth male stepped in and attempted to break up the scrap but was struck in the process. None of the individuals involved in the fight wanted to pursue charges for assault. The restaurant management requested criminal trespass warnings for the three males who started the disorder.

26-007046 – 3200 BLK Navajo Drive – Suspicious Activity – While patrolling neighborhoods, an officer observed a silver Dodge Ram work truck pull into the small gravel lot near the church. The officer approached the vehicle and identified the driver. While speaking, police observed drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed two pipes commonly used for smoking illegal narcotics. The illegal items were seized and placed in the East Ridge Police Department Property and Evidence Room for destruction.

26-007045 – 900 BLK South Seminole Drive – Traffic Stop / Arrest – An officer observed a gold Toyota Camry driving with an improper registration tag. A traffic stop was initiated behind the apartments. During the initial investigation, police received conflicting stories from the vehicle occupants. A Fort Oglethorpe K-9 handler responded to the location and the dog alerted on the vehicle. During the follow-up investigation, the vehicle driver was found to have a warrant out of Walker County, GA. He was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a glass pipe with burnt residue. The two passengers in the vehicle were also arrested for Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. One passenger also had a non-extraditable warrant through Georgia State Probation.

Day Shift July 26: A Squad

26-007055 – 1200 BLK Greens Lake Road – Attempted Auto Theft – The resident called 911 to report that sometime last night someone had broken into his vehicle and attempted to steal it. The steering column was ripped out and signs of a screwdriver being used in the ignition were observed.

26-007059 – 4000 BLK Wonder Drive – Attempted Auto Theft – The caller contacted 911 to report someone trying to steal his vehicle last night. When ERPD arrived, a Kia Soul was observed with its door handle broken and the door lock tampered with. The suspect was unable to enter the vehicle and left. If ERPD can identify the suspect charges will be pursued.

Night Shift July 26: C Squad

26-007068 – 300 BLK Michelle Drive – Burglary – The victim reported that his home caught fire two weeks ago and he had not been residing at the location. He stated he stopped by to check on the residence and found the back door open. Inside the home, he found several items missing to include two guitars.

26-007073 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – Police responded to a disorder at the hotel. Management stated that an unknown male was outside yelling and knocking on doors asking for cigarettes. Patrol located the individual and identified him. Police also determined that the offending party was staying with another man in a room at the motel. Due to the odd behavior, motel management requested for both individuals to be trespassed from the location. Police issued a trespass warning to one, but the other was not on scene. Police also determined that absent subject had active arrest warrants and checked the motel throughout the night to see if returned.

26-007081– 5700 BLK Roper Street– Assist Other Agency – Police, fire and EMS personnel responded to the report of an unconscious male at the complex. Police were first on-scene and located an unresponsive male on the floor next to his bed. The male was breathing and had a pulse. A sternum rub was administered and the male responded to the stimulus. EMS personnel arrived on scene and took over medical care. The patient was then transported to a local hospital.

26-007086 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Field Interview – An officer conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle for no registration. While speaking with vehicle occupants, police determined that one of the individuals was a juvenile. Patrol also noted that the juvenile was wearing suspicious clothing which included a ski mask pulled up on his head revealing his face. A responsible adult responded to the location and took custody of the juvenile. At that time, police learned the juvenile was on probation for automobile theft. The juvenile was released to the adult, and a field interview was completed.

Day Shift July 27: B Squad

26-007089- 5300 BLK Clemons Road- Traumatic Injury – Police were called after a male party stated he was thrown out of a car at around 20-30 miles per hour. He stated he jumped out of his mother’s truck because she was mean to him. Police asked further questions to understand if an assault happened. The male stated he and his mother had just recently smoked methamphetamine, and his mother was “tripping out” and being rude to him. He said he needed to get away from it and exited the vehicle while she was driving.

26-007098- 900 BLK State Line Road- Unconscious Person – Police were called after a male was reported unconscious at the mailbox area of the townhomes. The male was awakened by police and appeared to be disoriented. Officers were unable to observe any signs or clues of intoxication. He was medically cleared and called a ride to come and pick him up due to his disorientation. The male did state to police that he had only slept four hours in the past three days.

26-007109-4500 BLK Bennett Road- Theft – The victim stated that a female party stole four firearms from his residence while he was sleeping. Full identification of the suspect will need to be made before prosecution.

Night Shift July 27: D Squad

26-007117 – 1600 BLK Castleberry Avenue – Domestic Assault – Officers responded to the above address after receiving reports of possible shots fired. On scene, officers determined that no firearms were involved. After a brief investigation, it was determined that a man had assaulted his brother, causing visible injuries. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail.
