Day Shift July 30: A Squad
26-007196- 4000 BLK Dellway Circle- Deceptive Practice – The reporting party stated an unknown person sent her a text message last night from 770-610-1521 about a person named “Haley” being incarcerated at the Bartow County Jail in Georgia. The unknown person stated via text message they needed money to post bail for the Haley party. Randall does know Haley, but at the time of this report was unable to get in contact with her. Police called the Bartow County Jail at which time they stated they have never had an inmate by that name. The victim stated she gave the unknown party $1,700 via her debit card. As of now the person is unknown.
26-007205- 800 BLK Germantown – Traffic stop/Arrest – Following a traffic stop at the above location, a woman was transported to Hamilton County Jail for a theft warrant through Sessions Court.
26-007194- Lazard Street/ McBrien Road- MVC/ DUI – Police responded to the area after it was reported that a female driving a Silver Ford Explorer was in a front yard and had almost caused multiple wrecks prior to crashing into the front yard. Patrol arrived on scene and located a woman at the driver’s door. She was displaying multiple signs of intoxication and began pleading to be taken to jail. Police discovered that she had been inhaling dust cleaner before the crash and then prior to police arriving on scene. Multiple witnesses stated they observed her huffing the substance and then losing consciousness, only to wake up and huff more. Police placed the woman in custody and transported her to Hamilton County Jail on DUI, Due Care, and Failure to Maintain Lane.
Night Shift July 30: C Squad
26-007216 – 5300 BLK Greenbriar Avenue – Domestic Disorder – Police responded to a Domestic Disorder involving a man and woman. The man reported that the woman was upset with him and would not give back his phone. Throughout the encounter, the woman was irate and would not cooperate with police or discuss the issue. At one point, she called dispatch and requested to have a Sheriff’s Deputy respond to the location because she did not want to interact with ERPD. The man agreed to leave the area to de-escalate the situation and stated he would attempt to secure his phone at a later time.
26-007219 – 600 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Disorder – The caller reported a rolling disorder involving his vehicle and a pickup truck containing several teenagers. He stated the disorder started with a misunderstanding at the stop sign. The truck then pulled in front of him and began brake checking him on Camp Jordan Parkway. The man provided the suspect vehicle’s registration plate number. Officers contacted the owner who stated his teenage son was driving the vehicle. The vehicle owner agreed to address the situation with his son and stated he would not be driving the vehicle anytime in the foreseeable future.
26-007227 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a man was served with a Petition to Revoke for the Probationer arrest warrant through the City of East Ridge. The original charge for the arrest warrant was Simple Assault.
26-007231 – 4500 BLK Bennett Road – Assist EMS – Police responded to the report of a male acting strange after he fell and hit his face. Upon arrival, officers located the disoriented man and kept him contained until EMS arrived on scene. The incident appeared to be a medical issue, and no criminal activity was observed. The patient was transported to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
26-007229 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Vehicle / Arrest – An officer observed a suspicious vehicle pull into the gas station, so he moved to the parking lot to observe it. The suspicious vehicle unexpectedly drove up to the officer and the driver got out to talk to him. Due to the odd behavior, the driver and the two vehicle passengers were detained. A K-9 team conducted an air sniff of the vehicle and alerted the presence of illegal narcotics. A search of the vehicle yielded both crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Two men and a woman were arrested and charged Simple Possession and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
