Day Shift May 29: A Squad
26-004966 – 1500 BLK Fruitland Drive– Evading/Narcotics Arrest – Officers attempted to stop a party riding a bicycle for traffic law violations. When officers initiated the stop in the 1500 block of Fruitland Drive, the suspect became verbally aggressive, began yelling, and fled on his bicycle. Officers pursued the suspect and deployed two TASERs while he was in motion; both deployments were ineffective. During the pursuit, the suspect, who was carrying a backpack, was briefly out of officers’ sight and is believed to have discarded the backpack near the arrest location on Fruitland Drive. The suspect eventually surrendered and was taken into custody. The property owner at the arrest location granted officers access to their backyard. During the search, officers located two people inside a shed. Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found in the structure. Both individuals were taken into custody and charged with possession-related offenses. The two suspects denied any knowledge of the discarded backpack. Based on probable cause developed during the investigation, officers obtained a search warrant for the property to locate the backpack and any additional weapons, narcotics, or related evidence. The backpack was not located. During the execution of the search warrant, officers recovered small quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine, and various items of drug paraphernalia from the residence. Narcotics and paraphernalia were seized as evidence. The bicyclist was charged with Evading Arrest and Tampering with Evidence.
26-004960 – 5900 BLK Wentworth Avenue – Traffic Stop / Warrant Service – Police conducted a traffic stop on a red Ford Explorer for suspended registration. The driver was found to have two active warrants out of Sessions Court (Theft of Property and Possession of a Controlled Substance). The man was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
26-004970 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Property Damage – Officers responded to Camp Jordan on report of a person shot. On scene, officers found no evidence of a shooting; rather, a man was bleeding from the leg and had a dent in his car. It appeared a rock from a lawnmower scraped his leg and then hit his car. The party was transported for treatment.
Night Shift May 29: C Squad
26-004984 – 1400 BLK Melody Lane – Theft of Property – The victim reported that a large number of tools were stolen while he was moving out of his residence on Melody Lane. He was gone for several days and other individuals in the house had access to his property. The reporting party will follow up with Police and provide a list of items that were stolen. Officers are working to identify potential suspects for the theft.
26-004798 – 1300 BLK Ridgefield Circle – Deceptive Practice – A party reported that a TikTok profile contacted her and requested $100 to secure an appointment at a local tattoo shop. After sending the money, the caller felt she had been scammed and called the actual business. At that time, she was informed that the Tik Tok profile was a fraud and she needed to call the police. A shop representative stated that this type of fraudulent activity has occurred in the past.
26-004992 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Motor Vehicle Crash / Arrest – ERPD responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a red sedan near the restaurant. Upon further investigation, police determined that a driver was intoxicated and he was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.
Day Shift May 30: A Squad
26-005007 – 3400 BLK Gail Drive – Pedestrian Struck – Police responded to this location after receiving multiple calls of screaming in multiple languages. While in route, police were notified that a child had been struck by a vehicle. ERPD discovered that a pregnant woman and a toddler were struck by an ice cream truck in the parking lot of an apartment complex and the woman was stuck under the truck. The investigation is ongoing, and charges will be sought if applicable.
26-005005 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics Violation – Employees alerted police to a possible drug overdose in the women’s restroom. Upon arrival police contacted a female party in the bathroom who was alert and conscious. After a brief interview the female stated she smoked marijuana recently. A probable cause search of the suspect’s bag yielded a plethora of drug paraphernalia. After conducting a search of her person, a white powdery substance and a burned pipe were found. She was transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident. The female was also found to have an extraditable warrant out of Georgia for Burglary.
26-004995- 700 BLK Bacon Trail- Auto Theft – Police spoke with the caller about his white 2016 Mercedes. He stated the vehicle has been parked in the parking lot for the last 48 hours. He also stated he lost his vehicle keys at an unknown time and location. He last remembered seeing the keys on the evening of 05/28/26 at his house at the above address and believed a friend had the keys at the time of him losing them.
26-004998 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – Police were Notified by the Hamilton County Jail that a person with a warrant had turned themselves in. The woman was served with her East Ridge City Court warrant for Harassment while at the Jail.
Night Shift May 30: C Squad
26-005010 – 5000 BLK South Terrace – Overdose – A Police Officer, working an off-duty position at the theater, requested assistance with a drug overdose in a restroom. The Police Officer located a male on the floor next to the urinals. A used hypodermic needle was also found near the man. The subject was checked by EMS but denied transport to a hospital. His movie date assumed responsibility for him, and they left the area.
26-005013 – 200 BLK Eads Street – Suspicious Vehicle / Arrest for Other Agency – While conducting a neighborhood patrol, an officer located an improperly parked automobile with an expired registration. The officer approached the vehicle and determined that one occupant had arrest warrants for traffic violations through Catoosa County, GA. The fugitive was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail to await extradition.
Day Shift May 31: A Squad
26-005025- 900 BLK McBrien Road- Citizen Assist – Police were initially dispatched to the church regarding an auto theft. The male described his vehicle as a brown Nissan Murano with disabled plates affixed to the rear. On arrival, the officer observed a brown Nissan Murano parked behind the male displaying disabled veteran plates. ERPD asked the male if he had disabled plates on his vehicle. The male seemed surprised that police were able to identify his plates without foreknowledge of the information. The responding officer kindly gestured to the vehicle parked behind him and asked if the brown Nissan Murano with disabled veteran plates affixed to the rear was his. The male was shocked the vehicle was there and appeared embarrassed. Police reassured the caller that it was not a problem and that we are here to help regardless of the issue. The man thanked the officer and went about his day.
26-005030- 3600 BLK Ringgold Road- Suspicious Person – Police were dispatched regarding a male who was allegedly trespassed. The man was identified and was not found to be trespassed. However, he did have a warrant out of Sessions Court for shoplifting. He was taken into custody and transported to jail without incident. He was also informed that he was now being trespassed from the business.
26-005027 – 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road – Theft – A family who dined at the restaurant said they left a black wallet behind after departing. They returned approximately 10 minutes later and discovered the wallet was gone. The owner of the wallet stated that it contained a little more than $200. A witness said after the family left employees bussed and cleaned the table prior to the next guests being seated. Police, along with management, interviewed two employees about the incident. Both employees stated they had no knowledge of the wallet. During interviews, the wallet was recovered. It was found concealed in the baby changing station in the women’s restroom. Warrants will be sought for Theft and Tampering when a suspect can be identified.
26-005034 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Shoplifting/Trespass – Police responded to a shoplifting. The male suspect was found to have shoplifted $36.02 worth of merchandise. He was arrested on an unrelated warrant. The business had police issue a trespass warning and wanted to seek charges for the theft as he had been witnessed stealing at other locations.
Night Shift May 31: C Squad
26-005049 – 700 BLK Frawley Road– Suspicious Activity – The caller reported that several individuals were attempting to break into his apartment. Police responded to the scene, but no signs of a break-in or a disorder was observed. Upon further investigation, officers found that the man had received several harassing threats earlier in the day, and his anxiety levels were very high. Police also found a religious pamphlet on his doorway and determined the individuals knocking on his door were missionaries.
26-005056 – 5300 BLK Lazard Street – Domestic Disorder – An anonymous neighbor reported a disorder at this residence. Police Officers responded and met with two parties. The woman stated that her mother had assaulted her in the backyard of their home. The mother and daughter had been arguing over rent payments prior to the altercation. Police observed several marks that were consistent with an assault. Police also found that suspect fled the home before they arrived on scene. Based on the evidence, an arrest warrant for Domestic Assault was secured.
Day Shift June 1: B Squad
26-005084 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Miscellaneous – A resident of Tanager Circle reported her neighbor and neighbor’s daughter aggressively gestured unpleasant hand signals and made anonymous reports to East Ridge Codes Enforcement for garbage violations. She advised that she and her neighbor have been experiencing tense interactions, and she felt this qualified as harassment towards her. Police advised her of her neighbors’ right to first amendment speech and about obtaining an order of protection to prevent further unwanted contact.
Night Shift June 1: D Squad
26-005089- 400 BLK McBrien Road- Disorder – ERPD was dispatched to the fireworks store in reference to a person getting into an argument with the manager. The store manager told an individual to leave. She got into her vehicle, drove towards the alley on the side of the store, dropped her pants, and urinated on the floor. She was able to capture it on camera; however, the camera could not provide a good description of the vehicle’s make and model, a description of the female in question, or a tag number. The complainant just wanted ERPD to be aware of the situation and did not wish to push the issue. The store manager stated that if the female ever returns, she will contact ERPD to have her trespassed from the property.
26-005093- Ringgold Road at Boyd Street- Traffic Stop/Warrant Arrest – An officer initiated the traffic stop that ended on Ringgold Road and Boyd Street. The driver was found to have an active arrest warrant and was subsequently arrested.
26-005096- 100 BLK Kingwood Drive- Disorder – Police were called after a woman stated she and her daughter got into a verbal argument over the daughter being in the shower for too long. ERPD arrived, and both sides stated that the other was the problem. Police asked them to remain peaceful toward each other and not to cause issues.
26-005097- 4300 BLK Ringgold Road- Traffic Stop / Arrest – Following a traffic stop at the above location, a man was taken into custody for unlawful possession of a firearm and simple possession. He was transported to Hamilton County Jail without issue.
26-005103- 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Supplement (25-002285 Stolen Auto) – The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office recovered a stolen auto from a previous incident reported in March 2025. A suspect was arrested for possession of a stolen auto. The owner was informed, and the vehicle was pending removal from NCIC upon the system reboot.
