Law and Order May 1

East Ridge police officers along with East Ridge firefighters assist the CPD bomb squad in disposing of a grenade that was turned in by an individual on Friday morning at the Fire and Police Service Center on Ringgold Road.

Day Shift April 30: B Squad

26-003946- 700 BLK Germantown Circle- Mental Health – Police responded to a mental health crisis at Germantown Circle; a man was experiencing hallucinations and had caused disorder in the apartment. He requested treatment and was transported without incident.

26-003949 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Road- Traffic stop – Police initiated a traffic stop on an unregistered vehicle. The driver identified himself; however, his identity could not be verified through any documentation or official records available at the time of the stop. During the investigation, police located approximately 2.5 grams of suspected marijuana in his possession. He was taken into custody and charged with Simple Possession and Driving Without a License.

26-003952-5400 BLK Ringgold Road-Suspicious Person/Arrest – A man was arrested for Forgery, Identity Theft, and Theft Over $10,000 after he attempted to withdraw approximately $40,000 from a bank account using a fraudulent Georgia ID and forging the signature of the account holder. He was transported to jail without issue.

26-003954 – 1000 BLK McBrien Road – Theft – The resident reported that his Glock 17 was stolen sometime on April 22 by an unknown subject. The firearm was entered into NCIC as stolen.

26-003958 – 3200 BLK Navajo Drive – Civil Dispute – ERPD was notified by dispatch to contact a party regarding a civil matter involving possession of a vehicle. The reporting party was calling from Alabama and wished to speak with an officer. An officer called the number given three separate times with no answer. He then gave a second number to dispatch. The officer called three separate times with no answer. Officers spoke with dispatch advising them to have him answer the phone. No other contact was made.

26-003967 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Road- Assist Other Agency – CPD was out with a victim of a domestic violence case where the suspect left to his residence in East Ridge. ERPD officers arrived and spoke with the suspect about the situation. The officers were informed that CPD had charges and will drive to the location of the offender. ERPD officers detained the offender until CPD arrived and placed them in custody. The suspect was transported to jail.

Night Shift April 28: D Squad

26-003958 – 3200 BLK Navajo Drive – Civil Matter – A resident of Alabama, who sold his car to a resident of East Ridge, reported that the buyer refused to pay the agreed amount and asked the police for assistance with repossessing the vehicle. Police explained to the caller that the car sale was a matter for a civil court.

26-003976 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A man was served with an Alias Capias for driving on a revoked, suspended, or cancelled license at the Hamilton County Jail.

26-003982 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A woman was served with two outstanding warrants from the East Ridge Police at the Hamilton County Jail. The warrants were for Simple Assault and Possession of Meth.
