Day Shift May 19: B Squad

26-004619- 3900 BLK Bennett Road- Disorder – Two people were involved in a domestic verbal argument over children. Both parties gave conflicting statements about an alleged pushing/shoving incident, but no visible injuries were observed, and an anonymous witness only observed the couple arguing over the baby. Parties were separated and one left the residence with the juveniles. No charges were filed.

26-004620-5300 BLK Clemons Road- Assault/Arrest – A woman was taken into custody on a charge of aggravated domestic assault after she choked and punched her significant other over allegations of cheating. She was transported to jail without issue.

26-004625 – 3900 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person – Police responded after an off-duty Chattanooga Police Department officer observed a male asleep on the sidewalk. Officers woke the man from his nap and checked on his well-being. He advised that he was homeless and recently returned to the area from Rossville. His information was verified and he was sent on his way.

26-004626 – 1450 Mack Smith Road – Suspicious Person/Criminal Trespass – A subject was trespassed from this location after an employee thought he entered their car and opened their console. The caller advised that nothing was missing from the vehicle but did not want the party to return to the property. Police advised him to cease all his panhandling and traffic obstructing activities.

Night Shift May 19: D Squad

26-004628-3600 BLK Old Ringgold Road- Domestic Assault/ Arrest – Police responded to this address after a female called 911, stating she had locked herself in the bathroom after her boyfriend attacked her. On scene, police determined that the male suspect had attempted to forcefully remove the female from the home. The man was taken into custody and charged with Domestic Assault.

26-004629 – 1600 BLK Prigmore Road- Theft from a Vehicle – The resident reported his work backpack, containing various personal belongings, including a subcompact Smith & Wesson .40 caliber pistol with seven rounds of ammunition, was stolen from his unlocked vehicle parked in his driveway on Saturday night.

26-004634 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Rd – Traffic Stop / Pursuit – ERPD observed a blue sedan displaying a TN registration plate that came back to a different vehicle. ERPD attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle, but it fled. The suspect then began to drive into oncoming traffic, causing a clear danger to the public. ERPD pursued the vehicle on Ringgold Road, going westbound. The suspect lost control in the 5400 block of Ringgold Rd, almost striking another vehicle and running into a business. Once the suspect was on Airport Road, he lost control again, causing him to spin out and almost strike another vehicle. The suspect’s vehicle stalled out and slowly rolled back into a ditch. A short foot pursuit ensued. The suspect was placed into custody and identified. THP responded to the scene and investigated the crash. The driver was informed he was under arrest for Felony Evading, Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangerment, License Required, Financial Responsibility, Failure to Maintain Lane, Improper Turn, Improper Lane Usage, Improper Display, and Speeding. He was taken to Hamilton County Jail without incident.

26-004638 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – Police responded to a road rage incident at the gas station caused by a dispute using the one working Flex Fuel pump available. The dispute was determined to be only verbal. All parties involved separated without further incident.

26-004640 – 3400 BLK Bennett Road – Vandalism – The reporting party reported that his 2021 Nissan Rogue was completely vandalized by family members following an ongoing property dispute. All four tires were slashed, and derogatory words were etched into the paint in multiple locations. Warrants for felony vandalism were obtained against the suspects.
