Day Shift October 29: Bravo Team

26-010390 – 3400 Lisa Drive – Property Damage – A party called in stating he had been helping a friend out by letting their son stay with him for a few days. The guest caused issues and was told to leave. Today, the party returned after having been gone for two days and demanded his belongings. The resident agreed but requested the party calm himself. The man failed to calm himself and kicked the front door in. The suspect fled when the resident called 911. The reporting party did not wish to press charges and only wanted a report for the damaged door.

Night Shift October 29: Delta Team

26-010409 – 900 BLK Belvoir Hills Circle – Evading/ AOA  – ERPD was notified by Chattanooga Police of an aggravated assault and possible kidnapping involving a female juvenile. Officers were informed that the suspect was armed and willing to kill the child. He was thought to be on foot around Indian Trail in East Ridge. Officers saturated the area, attempting to locate the suspect and child. The reporting party took it upon herself to go to the location to get the child. An officer observed the suspect exit a residence with the child and interact with the mother. The Officer made sure the child was safely away from the suspect before he attempted to make an arrest.  A short foot pursuit ensued, with the suspect fleeing back inside the residence. The mother of the child stated that he was armed, so officers treated the situation as a barricade. Officers established a perimeter around the residence and attempted to call the man out of the home. He emerged from the residence and surrendered to police without further incident. The subject was taken into custody for evading and several warrants from Sessions Court. Chattanooga Police issued warrants for Aggravated Domestic Assault, Aggravated Kidnapping, and Custodial Interference.

26-010416 – 200 BLK Bales Avenue – Suspicious Person/Arrest – Officers responded to a report of a female walking around vehicles and knocking on doors. Patrol located the woman inside a white sedan parked along the roadway. The vehicle owner exited his residence, stated he did not know the woman, and advised she should not be inside his car. The party was removed from the vehicle and displayed signs of severe impairment. She admitted to consuming two shots of an unknown alcoholic beverage earlier in the evening. Due to her impairment, she was unable to provide her identifying information, which was later obtained through dispatch. The woman was placed into custody for Public Intoxication and Underage Consumption before transport to Hamilton County Jail.

26-010417 – 1500 BLK Rebecca Drive – Suspicious – ERPD was dispatched to the apartment complex regarding suspicious individuals on the property tampering with the complainant’s vehicle. Officers patrolled the parking lot but failed to locate any signs of tampering. The complainant did not want to speak with officers but asked them to patrol the area.
