Law and Order Oct. 6

Day Shift October 5: Bravo Team

26-009598 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – Police encountered a man and woman asleep on the sidewalk in front of a business after the manager called to report their unwanted presence. After advising the parties to depart the area, the woman reported she was told she could sleep there by an East Ridge Officer. Both parties were advised that urban camping is prohibited in the City of East Ridge and they should relocate to Chattanooga or Georgia if they wished.

26-009607- 20 BLK Crescent Park- Disorder with a Weapon – Police were called after a female party had taken a knife from the kitchen and was threatening self-harm. Dispatch advised that the female had now cut herself and still had the knife. Police arrived on scene and discovered the female in the backyard with multiple cut marks. Patrol secured the scene, and Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services transported the female for medical evaluation.

26-009610 – 400 BLK South Moore Road – Disorder – Two men were involved in a verbal altercation at the corner of South Moore Road and South Terrace after one observed the other panhandling. Police advised the party that panhandling was prohibited in the City of East Ridge and should relocate to Chattanooga if he desired to continue his ways.

Night Shift October 5: Delta Team

26-009622 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – A bystander reported seeing a man who appeared to be checking a car door handle in the parking lot. Patrol located the party, who admitted he pulled the wrong door handle on another gray sedan that resembled the sedan he was riding in, which belonged to his friend.

26-009625 – 200 BLK Eads Street – Shots Fired – A resident on Jordan Run reported hearing a single gunshot coming over the fence from the direction of the apartments. Police checked the area but were unable to locate any signs of shots being fired.

26-009629 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A woman turned herself in at the Hamilton County Jail, where she was arrested on two East Ridge warrants for Forfeiture Capias on the original charges of Possession of Methamphetamine (Docket 162200) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

26-009631-3600 BLK Shirl Jo Lane- Disorder – Police responded to the above address after a 911 call taker overheard a possible disorder. Officers spoke with both parties involved and determined a verbal altercation took place. Patrol provided one party with a courtesy ride to a local hotel to avoid any further disorder.
