Law and Order October 17

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift October 16 : B Squad

25-010898 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Assist EMS – Hamilton County Dispatch advised a male party called yelling for “help” and would not advise any further information. As police entered the area, he was observed walking in the center turn lane in only his shorts and socks. The man was sweating profusely and screaming about people following him, when there was not anyone present. Officers requested HCEMS to respond to assist with the patient, who was later transported for medical treatment.

25-010905- 300 BLK Camp Jordan Pkwy- Citizen Assist – Police conducted patrols throughout the park and assisted a civilian by airing up her daughter’s bicycle tire.

25-010900-6800 BLK Cedar Tree CT-Burglar Alarm – Police responded to the listed address for a burglar alarm, the residence was secure, and no signs of forced entry were found.

25-010912-Greenslake/Sherlin Drive-Child Found – Police responded to the intersection of Greens Lake Road and Sherlin Drive on a report of a juvenile female walking down the road. The juvenile was found to be special needs and had absconded from her address in the past. The mother of the juvenile arrived a short time later to take custody of her child. The juvenile and her mother were given a courtesy ride back to their residence.

25-010915 – 1400 BLK S. Moore Road – Traffic Stop/Narcotics Arrest – A party was issued a citation in lieu of arrest for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop at this location. He was also found in possession of possible fraudulent debit cards, that were secured and placed into property and evidence.

Night Shift October 16: D Squad

25-010929 – 600 BLK Melville Avenue – Pursuit – ERPD assisted THP in the search for a pursuit suspect who crashed and fled on foot. East Ridge Police provided a K-9 for tracking, and Hamilton County Emergency Management provided a drone search of the area. The suspect was identified and is facing warrants for Felony Evading and three counts of Kidnapping.

25-010919 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Citizen Assist – A complainant alerted the police to a scam involving a home listed on Facebook Marketplace for a low rent. The complainant was advised to use caution when responding to rental advertisements on FB Marketplace.

25-010921 – 4300 BLK Bennett Road – Harassing Threats – A party complained that her brother was texting harassing messages of various bible verses and threats of violence against her and her husband. Police advised her to block the suspect and obtain a Temporary Protective Order with the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts.

25-010925- 400 BLK S. Seminole Drive- Domestic Assault – While investigating a separate incident, a party stated her husband had assaulted her. Police were able to see a picture of her neck following the incident and observed handprints on her neck consistent with strangulation. Aggravated Assault (Domestic) warrants were obtained.

25-0010928-3616 Shirl Jo Ln.- Assault – Police were called to the listed address for a possible assault. Officers located the man at his neighbor’s house with blood in his nose and on his arm. Police attempted to ask what happened, but he told several different stories that didn’t match up with reality. Police were unable to locate the other party involved; no charges are being sought at this time.

25-010932 – 700 BLK Pyron Lane – Suspicious Activity – Police provided an extra patrol of the neighborhood around Pyron Lane at the request of a resident who reported a possible prowler in the area. No prowler was discovered.
