Day Shift October 3: A Squad
25-010451 – 100 BLK Brockhaven Rd. – Unknown Trouble – Police were dispatched to this address on reports of a female screaming. On arrival, police spoke with the homeowner where the screaming emitted. The homeowner advised her mother was attempting to break up a fight between their two dogs. Police spoke with the mother who substantiated the statement and apologized. The mother stated, she freaked out and began yelling.
25-010449 – 300 BLK Tanager Circle – Disorder Prevention – A party asked police to standby while he dug a hole in his yard, poured concrete, and installed a new mailbox due to a dispute with his neighbor. The neighbor was not home, and the party was informed that officers could not assist him in the multi-hour process.
Night Shift October 3: C Squad
25-010492 – 500 BLK Dunlap Avenue – Assist Other Agency – East Ridge Police and Chattanooga Police Officers saturated the areas around Dunlap Avenue and South Seminole in search of a kidnapping suspect from North Carolina. A phone ping placed the suspect in this area. The suspect was reported to be driving a 2013 silver gray Honda Pilot. Police officers searched the roadways and conducted foot patrols in the wooded areas; however, the suspect, his vehicle, and female victim were not located. Dispatch reported his phone was turned off and his whereabouts was unknown.
25-010466 – I-75 Northbound – Traffic Stop / Felony Evading – A Police Officer observed a black motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed on Ringgold Road. A check on the vehicle registration revealed it was stolen. Police Officers attempted a traffic stop with the motorcycle, but the rider fled at a high rate of speed on I-75 Northbound. The incident information was sent to surrounding law enforcement agencies for situational awareness. Arrest warrants are pending a positive identification of the motorcycle operator.
25-010485 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Vehicle – Police Officers observed a suspicious vehicle parked behind a business. Officers approached the vehicle and the lone occupant quickly exited. Police detained the individual based on the odor of marijuana. A probable cause search of the vehicle yielded drug paraphernalia, a substantial amount of jewelry, used iPads, phones, and watches. A report was generated to document the Police encounter.
25-010489 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police observed a black sedan traveling on Ringgold Road without a visible license plate. A traffic stop was conducted. Upon further investigation, Police Officers suspected the driver of driving while intoxicated. He refused to take part in standardized field sobriety testing. The driver was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence, Improper Display, Obedience to a Traffic Control Device, and Driving while License Revoke.
25-010490 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Rd – Traffic Stop / Assist Other Agency – Police conducted a routine traffic stop. Police Officers found that the driver had an arrest warrant for a Probation Violation through the Hamilton County Sessions Court. The original charge on the arrest warrant was Theft of Property. The party was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
Day Shift October 4: A Squad
25-010492 – 3100 BLK Bimini Place – Assist Other Agency – Police were informed about a kidnapping case involving a suspect and victim from Raleigh, North Carolina. The last known phone location had pinged in the area of East View Drive in Chattanooga. Officers searched the nearby area of Bimini Place and located the vehicle the suspect had been driving. They successfully made contact with both the suspect and the victim. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail. He is awaiting extradition to North Carolina, where he faces charges of kidnapping and burglary.
25-010494 – 300 BLK Tanager Circle – Vandalism – The caller reported that her angry neighbor dug out a mailbox her husband installed yesterday, planted a bush in its place, and put up a no-trespassing sign. The property belongs to the City of East Ridge. Pending positive identification that the neighbor is responsible, a warrant for Vandalism will be sought.
Night Shift October 4: C Squad
25-010513 – 1100 BLK McBrien Road – Assault – Police responded to the report of an assault at this location. On scene, Police Officers discovered that both the victim and the suspect had left the area. Police Officers spoke with several witnesses and found the incident was most likely mutual combat between a resident of the house and a visitor. Police Officers requested for the victim to contact Police when he returned home.
25-010514 – 3400 BLK Bennett Road – Motor Vehicle Crash / Arrest – Police Officers responded to a single vehicle crash in front of this address. A dark color sedan ran off the roadway and crashed into a drainage structure. Inside the vehicle, Police Officers observed multiple open alcoholic containers. The driver admitted to drinking beer just prior to the crash. Police located the passenger in the vehicle in a nearby yard and found he was heavily intoxicated. The driver was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence, Open Container Law, and Driving without a License. The passenger was arrested for Public Intoxication.
25-010517 – Edwards Terrace – Noise Complaint – An anonymous person called the Hamilton Dispatch Center twice to complain about a party with loud music in the neighborhood. During the second call, the reporting party stated the celebration was becoming unruly and people were preparing to fight each other. On scene, Police determined the event was a child’s birthday party and there were no disorders or unruly individuals associated with it.
25-010522 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Hit and Run Crash / Arrest – Police observed a black Honda CRV crash into the back of red sedan on Ringgold Road. The CRV quickly drove off but police stopped the vehicle down the road. The driver of the red vehicle sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene by EMS. The driver of the CRV was determined to be heavily intoxicated. The driver was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Failure to Render Aid, and Driving without a License.
25-010529 – 5400 BLK Ringgold Road – Motor Vehicle Crash/ Arrest- Police observed a silver sedan cross into oncoming traffic and strike a mailbox on Ringgold Road. Police immediately responded to the crash and assessed the situation. In plain view, Police Officers located a glass pipe and cut straws with white residue in the passenger side floorboard. The passenger initially gave police a false name. Police placed the passenger into custody and charged her with Identity Theft and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Day Shift October 5: A Squad
25-010532 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Road – Pedestrian Struck – Police were dispatched to the 6600 block of Ringgold Road after a passerby witnessed a vehicle collide with a man riding an electric bike. The rider left the scene after the collision. Police caught up with the rider in front of Camping World. The rider was evaluated and transported by HCEMS to Parkridge East Hospital for treatment. The rider was also found to have a verified, extraditable warrant out of Catoosa County for driving on a suspended license.
25-010536 – 400 BLK McBrien Road – Suspicious Activity – Police responded to a business after an employee received a call from a male caller inquiring about setting off fireworks in his friend’s house. The employee said the caller was looking for a firework that could be ignited in residence without causing a fire. Police made contact with the young caller using the phone number provided to dispatch. The caller was advised of the legal consequences for harassing businesses and destruction of property from negligent discharge of fireworks.
Night Shift October 5: C Squad
25-010545 – 4000 BLK Brookfield Circle – Residential Alarm / Assist Citizen – Police responded to a residential alarm and found the homeowner inside the house. While inspecting the exterior of the home, police officers located an open basement door. Due to the circumstances, the homeowner requested for police to check the interior of the house. Police officers cleared the residence and found no signs of a break in or unwanted persons.
25-010555 – 700 BLK S Germantown Road – Traffic Stop / Diabetic Emergency – Police stopped a silver Ford Explorer after it was seen swerving into oncoming traffic lanes. Upon further investigation, Police determined the driver was having a medical emergency. East Ridge Fire personnel arrived on scene and began critical care when the the driver passed out and had a seizure. Hamilton County EMS responded and transported the patient to a local hospital for advanced care.
