Day Shift September 14: B Squad
26-008879 – 3200 BLK Gleason Drive – Animal Call – Police responded to the intersection of Gleason & Donaldson on a report that a racoon was in the intersection and appeared ill. Upon arrival, the animals appeared lethargic but moved from the roadway without assistance. ERAS was notified and would follow up.
26-008883 – 3500 BLK Connelly Lane – Theft from Vehicle – Patrol was summoned by the vehicle owner after an unknown person opened an unlocked passenger door on their car and removed a firearm from the glove box. The owner of the firearm did not have the serial number for the firearm.
Night Shift September 14: D Squad
26-008910 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Narcotics Violation – A Patrol Officer observed a vehicle using the sidewalk to reenter the drive through of a business. Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and contacted the driver. Officers conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and located a bag of marijuana, rolling papers, scale, and an empty bottle of promethazine. The drugs were determined to be for personal use. Police advised him that he was not being charged for marijuana or drug paraphernalia. He was released, and all property was placed into the ERPD property and evidence room for destruction.
26-008912 – 700 BLK Hardin Drive – Backup Fire – ERPD responded to the above address for a porch fire. Upon arrival, police assisted an elderly couple out of the residence and to a safe location at a neighbor’s home. The Fire Department arrived and took over the scene.
26-008914 – 1400 BLK Boyd Street – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police stopped a woman after observing her cross Ringgold Road on a bicycle with no lights. After identifying her, dispatch informed police the party had multiple warrants through Hamilton County Sessions Court. Officer took her into custody, where she claimed she was experiencing a medical issue. She was transported to an area hospital where she was medically cleared before being received by the jail.
26-008918 – 1900 BLK McBrien Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police initiated a traffic stop due to an equipment violation. During the stop, the driver was found to have a revoked driver’s license for DUI and admitted to smoking marijuana immediately prior to his interaction with officers. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and yielded one bag containing approximately 11.4 grams of marijuana and a separate bag containing approximately 0.7 grams of marijuana. The man was taken into custody without incident and transported to Hamilton County Jail. He was charged with driving while revoked and simple possession.
