Law and Order September 11

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift September 10 : A Squad

25-009586 – 6100 BLK Sherwood Drive- Domestic Assault/Arrest – Police were dispatched to this residence on reports of a domestic assault. On arrival, police spoke with the caller who stated her boyfriend slapped and punched her in the face. Officers observed slight swelling to her left eyebrow. However, police did not observe marks consistent with being punched or slapped in the face. The suspect admitted that he pushed the victim but did not punch or slap her. He was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault. The suspect was transported to jail without incident.

25-009590 – 1300 BLK Wright Street – Unknown Trouble – Two unknown residents reported a male screaming in the street. Officers then located the man who stated he was only screaming because he was having a panic attack but clarified that it had passed, and he did not need EMS or police assistance.

25-009593 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Well Being Check – Police responded after a nurse reported a patient made statements that her boyfriend hit her. Police spoke with both parties who both said they are going through a rough patch in their relationship but did not get physical in any recent arguments. During the investigation one subject was found to have five active Bradley County warrants, including one for Attempted Murder. Police stood by until a Bradley County deputy arrived to transport the subject.

Night Shift September 10: C Squad

25-009595 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant service – While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a man was served with an arrest warrant through the City of East Ridge. The charge on the warrant was Aggravated Assault.

25-009598 – 700 BLK Frawley Road– Unknown Trouble – Police responded to the apartments after a tenant reported his neighbors were screaming and throwing things. Officers located a female who was visibly upset because she could not find her phone. The woman’s boyfriend was also on scene and had been moving items in the apartment to assist her. Police determined no crime has been committed.

25-006900 – 500 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Disorder – The manager reported two males were harassing the staff and throwing things in the restaurant. The suspects paid their bill and left in a white pick-up truck before Police arrived on scene. ERPD checked the surrounding area, but the two men were not located.

25-006901 – 6100 BLK Marietta Street – Public Intoxication / Arrest – Police responded to the report of a man lying in the roadway. Officers located an intoxicated party with a half a bottle of vodka near him. Hamilton County EMS responded to the scene and checked on the subject. After he was medically cleared, he was taken into custody, charged with Public Intoxication, and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without further incident.

25-009606 – 3500 BLK Shelby Circle – Domestic Assault / Arrest – Police responded to an Unknown 911 call at this location. ERPD determined that a man and his fiancé had been in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation. Upon further investigation, Police identified the male party as the primary aggressor. He was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault and Interference with Emergency Calls.

25-009612 – 1300 BLK San Hsi Drive – Crash with Injuries – Police responded to a Crash with Unknown Injuries and located a vehicle that struck a power pole. The driver fled the scene but was identified based on evidence in the vehicle. An astute Patrol Officer then observed the female suspect sitting in the passenger seat of a passing vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated, and the woman was detained. Due to the nature of the crash, she was transported to a local hospital and admitted as a patient. Police will seek a search warrant for her blood and toxicology report. The investigating officer also plans to seek arrest warrants for Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Driving Under Influence.
