Day Shift September 19: A Squad
25-009914 – 4100 BLK East Ridge Avenue – Backup Other Agency – East Ridge Animal Services requested a police report be completed after a woman’s three dogs mauled a cat.
25-009900 – 6900 BLK Village Lake Circle – Property – According to the reporting party, someone has been tampering with her garage door from the inside of the house. The reporting party stated she lived alone. She also stated someone from the neighborhood has been damaging her vehicle. No supporting evidence of any foul play was given to police. The reporting party just wanted police to be aware of the situation.
Night Shift September 19: C Squad
25-009927 – 4320 Bennett Road – Disorder / Patrol Saturation – Patrol Officers assisted the School Resource Officer (SRO) with additional security after several verbal disorders were observed at the High School football game. While on scene, Patrol Officers responded to a disorder involving approximately 25 students and adults that was escalating to a fight. Patrol Officers also responded to a minor vehicle crash with a verbal disorder in the school parking lot. The Police Officers on scene ensured everyone left the high school in a safe manner. No assaults, fights, or injuries were reported.
25-009938 – 5500 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / DUI Arrest – Police observed a silver sedan with dark window tint following too close to another vehicle. Police stopped the sedan and found most of the occupants to be intoxicated. A DUI investigation was conducted which resulted in the arrest of the driver. The subject was transported to the Hamilton County Jail, and the remaining occupants were transported home by a sober friend. At the jail, the irate family of the arrested man aggressively confronted the arresting officer as he left the fenced security area. The arresting officer de-escalated the situation and explained the probable cause for the arrest along with the expected judicial proceedings. The arresting officer returned to duty after the encounter with the family.
Day Shift September 20: A Squad
25-009950 – 5400 BLK Marion Avenue – Burglary – The caller reported that his television was stolen at some point within the last month while his home was vacant. Officers found evidence to support forced entry, but CID was unable to obtain any physical evidence due to the time-lapse and contamination. Pending identification of the suspect, warrants for Aggravated Burglary and Theft of Property will be sought.
25-009954 – 5300 BLK Marion Avenue- Domestic Assault – A man was taken into custody for Domestic Assault after striking his ex-girlfriend in the face an estimated twenty times. She had injuries to corroborate her allegations.
Night Shift September 20: C Squad
25-004557 – 3600 BLK Shirl Jo Lane – Disorder / Warrant Service – Police Officers responded to a 911 Hang Up from this residence and found two men were in a verbal disorder. While investigating the incident, Police determined that one had two active arrest warrants through East Ridge for Domestic Assault and False Imprisonment. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without further incident.
25-009962 – 1600 BLK Waterhouse Street – Attempted Burglary – Staff members with the church reported minor damage to an exterior door. The staff members believed someone attempted to open it. Police checked the door and located two small pry marks at the bottom of it. Officers also found there were no security cameras that covered the door. Police currently have no leads or suspects for the incident.
25-009978 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Theft – The caller reported that her bat bag was stolen from the Camp Jordan arena. He stated the bag contained $1,480 worth of baseball equipment and it was taken after a sports event. Police currently have no leads or suspects for the theft.
25-009983 – 1100 BLK John Ross Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police observed a white sedan driving erratically and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified and showed several signs of intoxication. Police Officers also found that his two small children were in the vehicle with him. The children’s mother was on scene and took custody of them. The driver refused to comply with standardized field sobriety tests. He was arrested and transported to Hamilton County Jail where he was charged with Driving Under the Influence and Child Endangerment.
25-009984 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Aggravated Assault / Arrest – A man reported that his ex-girlfriend assaulted him in the parking lot of the business. He reported that she attempted to choke him, then drove away at a high rate of speed as he was getting out of her vehicle. Chattanooga Police Officers located the suspect and her vehicle at her residence. She was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Assault (Domestic).
Day Shift September 21: A Squad
25-009996 – Interstate 24 WB Near 183 – Vehicle Fire – ERPD along with Chattanooga Fire responded to area for a Kia Optima experiencing an extreme overheating event. Two lanes were closed while CFD put the fire out. Prior to clearing the scene ERPD recovered a CPD fire helmet left behind. Ladder 13 returned to the scene and retrieved the lost gear. ERPD provided the wrecker with an escort to their impound lot due to the vehicles extensive damage.
25-009987 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Shots Fired – Officers responded to this area after ERFD notified them of multiple shots fired. The source was located shortly thereafter when officers found several men wearing camouflage on the speed track in Georgia. The men advised they were hunting geese.
Night Shift September 21: C Squad
25-010012 – 400 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Disorder – Staff reported a disorder with approximately ten unruly customers. A staff member stated the group was loud and creating problems for other customers, so they were asked to leave. The group continued to create problems as they slowly departed the business and loaded up into two SUVs. The disorderly group left the property prior to the arrival of Police.
25-010014 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a man was served with three Forfeiture Capias warrants through the City of East Ridge. The original charges on the arrest warrants were Theft over $10,000 and two counts of Burglary of an Automobile.
25-010015 – 800 BLK Summit Avenue – Warrant Service – Police located the suspect at this residence and took her into custody for a Petition to Revoke warrant through the City of East Ridge. The original charge for the arrest warrant was Reckless Endangerment. She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
Day Shift September 22: B Squad
25-010027- 4200 BLK Ringgold Road- Arrest – Following a traffic stop at this location, a man was taken into custody on an outstanding Rhea County probation violation. He was also charged with criminal impersonation and possession of drug paraphernalia.
25-010031 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft (Attempted) – Assets Protection reported two unknown females attempted to steal several packages of ribs and a container of detergent before being alerted by store employees and leaving in a gold Honda sedan. Per security all items were believed to have been recovered.
25-010040-4100 BLK Ringgold Road-Vandalism – The office manager of the complex reported to police that the mailboxes to building A had been damaged. No camera footage or suspect information is available, report on file.
25-010044 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Suspicious Activity – While performing a business check at Parkridge East Hospital, police were alerted of an unruly patient causing a disturbance in the emergency room. Police located the subject in triage room and advised him of the correct way to conduct himself on the premises and to not disturb other patients. His information was verified, and he was treated by the staff for his issue and released.
Night Shift September 22: D Squad
25-010048 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Shoplifting – Two women were caught shoplifting at the above address. Additionally, the asset protection employee reported that one had shoplifted five times before this incident. Both were released from the scene and were informed that warrants would be sought for their arrests. Additionally, they were criminally trespassed from store. It was explained to the asset protection employee that reports of theft need to be made at the time of the incident, not all at once. One subject now has six warrants for shoplifting, and the other has one warrant for shoplifting.
25-010064- 4214 Ringgold Road- Warrant Service – A male subject was served on a Petition to Revoke (Possession of Controlled Substance) at the Hamilton County Jail.
25-010069- 5300 BLK Connell Street- Mentally Disturbed – Police received several calls from neighbors on Connell Street, concerned about the welfare of a party. When the police encountered the woman, she appeared to be experiencing mental distress or possibly under the influence of an illegal substance. Officers persuaded her to go and get checked by the medical staff. She went willingly. Her mother was contacted to babysit the children while she was being seen at the hospital.
