Law and Order September 24

Day Shift September 23 : B Squad

25-010075 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity/Criminal Trespass Warning – A man was issued a criminal trespass warning after management reported he was bothering patrons for money. He was located entering a neighboring business after he had convinced a motorist to purchase food for him. The subject was advised, understood the warning, and sent on his way.

25-010081 – 130 BLK Saint Thomas Street – Suspicious Activity – An anonymous concerned citizen called from a blocked phone number about various narcotics activities occurring in front of this location. Police responded to this area twice and observed nothing resembling what was described by the caller.

25-010083 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Road– Theft – Police responded regarding a reported theft of galvanized pipe from behind a storage shed on the property. The reporting party, an employee, provided the registration of the suspect vehicle, identified as a red Nissan Murano. Officers located the vehicle with large pipes protruding from the rear. The employee requested the return of the stolen property and that the suspects be trespassed from the premises. The suspects returned the pipes and were formally issued trespass warnings.

25-010085 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Miscellaneous/Assault – Police were requested to the Camp Jordan Arena for a delayed miscellaneous/assault call concerning an incident between two adult softball league players. According to employees of the parks and recreation department, on 09/16 an adult female softball player initiated a verbal argument with an adult male softball player over a perceived wrong during a game. After the confrontation, the female was said to have left her dugout and proceed to the dugout of the male softball player and allegedly shoved him in an unprovoked manner. Since this incident, the woman had been suspended for two games for her conduct. Park staff requested a report for documentation purposes.

25-010087- 4214 Ringgold Road- Warrant service – The Georgia State Patrol arrested a man on an outstanding East Ridge Forfeiture Capias for DUI. A hold was placed with the Walker County Jail.

Night Shift September 23: D Squad

25-010097 – 2100 BLK Dabney Dr – Theft – The pastor called ERPD to report that a $1,200 Dewalt Generator they had rented had been stolen on Friday morning around 0235 hours. He stated that an unknown male in a white SUV can be seen on their security footage arriving and taking the generator. Once the suspect is identified, warrants will be filed for Theft of Property.

25-010101 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Rd – Traffic Stop / Arrest – ERPD conducted a Traffic Stop on a Nissan Sentra for sitting in the middle of the intersection of Ringgold / Marlboro. Upon checking the driver’s info, the motorist had an outstanding warrant through East Ridge for a Forfeiture Capias (Driving on Suspended). The motorist was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

25-010104- 5400 BLK Connell Street- Check Well Being – Police were called by a friend to check on the welfare of a party. The caller stated that the woman believed an opossum was at the bottom of her steps waiting for her. Hamilton County Dispatch was finally able to get her to come down the stairs of her residence and open the door. She agreed to have her brother come pick her up so she could get out of the house. Police were unable to locate any animal that she alleged was trapped.
